I agree. I wonder if this is also a case of the team taking time to completely "get it". I would imagine having the players he wants would help also. I did expect them to be playing better by now, but am more than willing to give coach some time to "right the ship"
Why does everyone blame Coach Cross immediately for the problems??? When we have 4 SENIORS on the team. These SENIORS should know the basic fundamentals of basketball. Coach Cross should NOT have to teach them stuff that was taught to them in the 5th grade.

I'm glad I didn't have time to see this post prior to today. I listenend to the end of the first half and the second half and my head still hurts! Anyway we can get higher recruiting draft picks by having the worst record in the MAC?

No, that was a slaughter. UT in basketball and football is lopsidded our way in a big way all time history. And I think this year both teams are pretty bad. I grew up in DeKalb and my brother and sister went to NIU. NIU has little tradition in basketball. And until Novak came around, they had no tradition in football . Crowds were so small the local DeKalb Barb football game against Sycamore had more fans. NIU did have a short stint of good basket ball when Kenny Battle played for them but the head coach was fired and Battle transferred to Illinois. Illinois and Southern Illinois are usually the best two basketball programs in the state each year. And sometimes Bradley and Illinois State are pretty good too. However, I think they made a great move in hiring Jerry Kill as their football coach. He will be good for them. Hopefully soon both our basketball teams will be better. We both have great arenas thats for sure.
