A very winnable opener, hard to not like NIU against a struggling Rocket team. After a stale first half from the layoff, Huskies dominate the 2nd half

NIU 75
Toledo 62

By the way, could this be the weakest the MAC West has ever been collectively as a division?
NIU - 78
Toledo - 72

The snow make keep me away from this game. Yet another one I may not be able to make due to the weather. At this rate, I may get to see one more game this year - maybe. Chicago weather just sucks, and it's all your fault, MD!

Hey the weather is going to keep me away this Saturday too :) At least I'll be able to attend the EMU and CMU games. I cant believe the past 2 seasons how the NIU bball schedule falls on my work days, it is uncanny. Im really looking forward to the end of the year though, I'm taking a vacation in March that will allow me to take a trip to Toledo to see the season finale, and then in the same trip I'm going to continue east to Cleveland for the tourney.

But DF, I dont think the weather will be a problem tomorrow. Most of the snow will taper off during the overnight hours. Maybe just a few left over flurries Saturday morning.
Huskies need this game. If they don't win this one, they may not win for awhile.

Huskies 71
Toledo 63
An ugly game where we come out on top. Toledo is a bad team.
Two areas where I think we need immediate improvement are turnovers and free throws. It ould be nice to see an improvement in one or both tomorrow.
NIU should win. Hard to predict with more clarity given that it is hard to understand how NIU is progressing or not progressing without seeing them play upfront. We've all relied on grainy web views and one paragraph long game recaps. Now is when we really get to see what this team is about.

The free throw shooting is something I will never understand. NIU basketball and free throw shooting seems like an epidemic, much like how you can count on the Bears never having a good quarterback.
If you lose to Toledo, you better start looking forward to spring football practices. I know that's what we are doing at UT. Bottomline, Toledo is in a major rebuilding effort and is not very good.

Sounds familiar. Hope everyone going gets there safe. I'm leaving 3 hours before tip-off to account for slower travel. Hopefully a good day for the Huskies! Dealing with a few minor injuries from what I've heard. Lee Fisher had a sprained ankle right after comeing back from their break. Tyler pulled a hamstrng and is still hampered by that. Jeremy Landers had some illness issues. But, I think all are available today to give it a good shot. Hopefully without jinxing us I can say that we've been fortunate in the injury category so far this year with no major ones. Knocking on wood now.......
NIU 73

Whoever is streaming the feed is using the NIU online feed from CSTV.

Probably because it is using windows media player and internet explorer is also a windows product while Firefox is not.
good point, and good point
i love how if NIU scores they show the replay during the toledo possession and you miss anything that happens lol
jesus i should've put my bank account on this game...toledo is horrifically bad
Wow, if Toledo wasn't so bad i'd say we look like a good team.

As long as we keep up there's no way Toledo is getting back in this game. They lack shooters and can't hit the three.

I thought we would stumble in this game due to our month long layoff.
