Intersting ESPN column on Tyree Evans enclosed. Won't change anyone's mind, but an interesting read.

I will admit I was as opposed as anyone to taking Tyree at Kent State. Thought it was just too big of a risk. Once he got on board, just wanted it to all work out. It's too soon to know how the story will end. But I do know this...if a 23 year old at a cross roads makes the most of his last chance and becomes a productive member of society, we are all better off.

Issues aside, Evans can be a real difference maker and that's why I picked him as the MAC Newcomer of the Year in Blue Ribbon this season. Keeps his act together and he is going to be a force. He has already started to show his potential.
