Can we talk about academics? 03-melodramatic

I went for an education.

If I wanted to go to a school for FB or hoops I'd gone to UofM. 03-lmfao
Eastern is a better academic school than UofM? That's news to the rest of the world.

Here's some news for you. At no time did he say or imply anything about the quality of education at UM and EMU. The statement was about the quality of athletics at those schools. His reasons for choosing EMU over other schools is not addressed in the statement other than athletics did not figure into the decision.

Guess a few missed my lame effort at humor. 03-yawn

It was meant to be to be a parody that UofM is a sports factory. 03-nutkick

And I almost forgot that this thread is supposed to be a parody on the thread about 'delusion that MAC will be a football conference."

I think maybe just one missed it. I considered a thread titled "Can the MAC please stop with the delusion that it is an academic conference?" but pulled myself up short just in time.
I gotcha bro, and I'd be happy to interject my opinion. As a high school teacher, I believe the MAC is full of schools that offer great education. I know I didn't go to Kent because of its Top 25 football program. However, I also feel that in order to make school an enjoyable place to live at, there needs to be some sense of pride. Athletics is the best way to bring about that pride, and a healthy way... Mostly.
However, I do agree that the MAC will probably never be the top athletic confrence in the nation. But I am still proud of the Golden Flashes for their success in both men's and women's b-ball. Its what made me spend so much money at our bookstore. The concearn now is that our overall image in college athletics, while might never have been the top, is sadly sinking to the bottom.

Asking yourself "what would Kit-Cat do?" and then avoiding that action is usually a good policy.
