WVU placed ahead of Pitt. Interesting... 07-coffee3
People still care about the Lambert Trophy? That stopped being relevant about 20 years ago once conferences formed.

It's not good that only six BE teams made the Lambert Poll. The poll is only made up of BE teams, Penn State, Judas, Buffalo, Navy and Army. So basically this means only six BE teams are better than Buffalo and Navy. Is that something to brag about?
The Lambert Trophy ceased to be relevant when Penn State joined the Big Tin...
Yea i'm not too familiar of the Lambert Trophy myself. I heard of it first about 2-3 years ago and never really cared about it. Its an ancient thing as far as college football goes.

Bit it right... once PSU went to the Big 10, the Lambert trophy became essentially meaningless. It's too bad too.....
It was the closest thing to a de facto "conference championship" for the old Eastern indies.
But it no longer has any meaning...
True, it has outlived its usefulness
...unless it is adopted as Trophy for The BEast's representitive to the BCS...
Right now its Big East members, PSU, Maryland, BC, Army, Navy, Buffalo, Temple that are eligible I believe. Its sad that it has outlived its usefulness. Its no secret I'd love to see the existing Big East with Temple, PSU, Maryland, and BC in it.
