gotta love watching the acc take another beating this bowl season

best team in the acc down 28-3 to a 7-5 LSU team in the 2nd quarter
Highest ranked ACC team is getting their butts handed to them on national TV.

Cincy needs to finish the job tomorrow.
I think Cincy wins very easily. And if they do it will help out the prestige of the Big East. 3 diff winners in the last 4 years in the BCS. I don't think any conference other than the SEC can say that.

im going to assume without checking that the big 12 has also done that

i know for a fact kansas and texas have, hard to imagine they dont have a 3rd in there, and if they dont an oklahoma win over florida will give them 3
LSU fake punt up 35 with under 9 mins to go? WTF
OK it is really getting embarrassing now. They are the only game on TV and they are getting killed. ACC better hope those TV negotiators can pull something out of their butt during the next negotiation cause the product on the field sure isn't helping.

A 9-3 BCU team lost to a 6-6 Vandy team. A favored GT team getting hammered by LSU now.

Hatter boy tried to run it up until about 4 mins left. I can only hope GT schedules LSU (they've scheduled the entire SEC West except LSU), so we can see LSU again when we're at full strength, not on a probation-caused 65 man roster, and have players recruited for PJ's system. I'd love to return the favor.

I was referring to the past five years. Oklahoma lost all their bcs games the past few years and Texas and Kansas have won the past few years.
I was on a VT forum and some were saying the ACC was better than the SEC top to bottom....and were fricken serious!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahaha **** that's delusion at it's best right there.

dude, we've heard for the last month that the flock of 8-5 ACC teams clogging all those bowl games were actually damn good, but they were just beating up on each other.

that nonsense has been exposed in spades. GT's vaunted triple-option was mopped all over the floor of the g-dome by a much more physical and athletic sec .... doormat.

Nice straw man. Show me where any ACC fan said on this board that the ACC is full of "damn good" teams just beating up on each other. The big difference this year is there isn't a doormat in the entire conference. Everybody is now at least respectable, even Dook. Every program is headed in a positive direction with the exception of UVA and Miami. So, while, as I said previously, the Big 12 has 3 maybe 4 teams better than any ACC team... it also has 4 maybe 5 teams worse than any ACC team. This is why top to bottom it has the #1 Sagarin ranking this season thus far. And given the size of the LSU lines, I'm not all that surprised we lost. GT still has a 65-man roster, and it was painfully obvious watching a TE-emergency-conversion-OL at 265 ibs get pushed a solid 5 yards backwards every single play as he blocked lightly bothered his 350-ish ib DT. We're the youngest BCS team, and everybody but 3 DL is back next season. GT is already dangerous, but you really don't want to play us in another 2 seasons when we're back to full scholarship numbers and have people in the system recruited FOR the system with some experience.

Calling LSU a doormat is giggle worthy. They lost 5 games because their pass defense is horrid at times. Unfortunately, we couldn't find much time TO pass tonight the way our entirely FR-SO (and converted TE) OL was getting handled. And when we did, the throws were slightly off anyway. Without that to keep LSU honest ... they put the planet up front and stopped the run.

And really ... if you want to judge conferences strictly off bowls this year instead of their full body of work ... I guess we can all declare the Pac-10 a bunch of world beaters and be done with it, right?

Seen bowl game outcomes lately? hahahah nice try but Sagarin doesn't help you on the field....OBVIOUSLY.

hey...I'm not sure if you noticed or not, but LSU blew you out with a true freshman 3rd string QB

Whats the score with a full-fledged Georgia Tech? 38-21?

LSU has NFL players on their roster, and Les Miles prepares extremely well for bowl games:
05 Peach Bowl - LSU 40 Miami 3
07 Sugar Bowl - LSU 41 Notre Dame 14
08 BCS National Championship - LSU 38 Ohio State 24
08 Peach Bowl - LSU 38 Georgia Tech 3

LSU would have done that to most ACC teams, and all the whiny Big East schools as well

Actually, LSU lost most of their games because they had a quarterback that threw 7 intercepted passes returned for TDs....49 points handed out to the opposition

Both Auburn and Georgia games started with interceptions being returned for touchdowns...if Ryan Perrilloux had returned, LSU is most likely in the SEC Championship
I hope & think Cincy will beat VaTech, but it will not be a blowout. VaTech has a fairly good defense and a ball control type offense. Unless VaTech commits a lot of turnovers, I look for a 20-17 type score.

I think Virginia Tech is going to win...Cincinnati will just be glad to be there, while Beamer will have his boys on a mission
I have no idea who will win.. but I don't think either team is just happy to be there. They will both be ready to play.

Then you don't understand Brian Kelly at all........win or lose, BK and the senior laden class isn't just "happy to be there"....they want to win big time. Whether it happens or not, we will have to wait and see.

Maybe not...I guess I was assuming that a Big East championship would be more important than a bowl win...IMO, an Orange Bowl win would just be extra frosting on the cake. But I guess winning a conference title just isn't much of a reward in Big East land, you guys are too bent on trying to convince everyone else out there that you're good at football...in that respect, Big East fans aren't alot different than Mountain West fans

That said, I still think Virginia Tech has more incentive to win...Beamer wants to end disappointing showings in big games
