Ive got a couple questions for everybody, the 2nd one I`ll post in a different thread, 1st one....at the banquet this year, when being introduced as team MVP, Tyler Jones was called "the face of EMU football"...agree?. disagree?.I thought it was a show of respect and also a bold statement. I havent been around EMU football very long and alot of guys have been aroun a long time and remember more players than I do. Who do you gys think might be the face of EMU football?....Batch?, J Jones?, Holtzclaw?, Walters?, Stokes?, Lang?, ED? or what about any old timers, Petersmark?, Banazak?...what you guys think?
That's an intriguing question.

Over the past four years I would be more inclined to say Holtzclaw was the face of EMU football. He received national recognition as freshman All-American, and was consistently among the conference leaders in tackles, was on the Butkus, Lombardi, Nagurski watch lists each of the last three years...

Recent history I would say Charlie Batch...but I am partial to John Banaszak from a more historical perspective...four Super Bowl rings and Super Bowl defensive MVP one year, not bad.

Jason Jones has a chance though to outshine all of them.

To keep things simple why not just have all the senior players for the year be "the face(s) of EMU football".
Eagles2008, I dont think you understand the question. Im not talking about media book covers or gameday programs, has nothing to do with SR, JR, SOPH, OR FR....when you hear the words "EMU football" who do you envision?...for example when I hear UM football, I envision Bo Schembechler...USC football, I envision Marcus Allen, etc, etc....
