Hey San Giuseppe Jato Rocket, did you know Casey well? I used to hang out with him a lot back in the day.

The party days....when he was a bada$$. I didn't drink in college(still don't) but I still partied...and he was really fun.

When he found religion, we didn't have much in common at that point and I rarely talked to him.

No, I didn't know him well aside from the periodic pick-up game at the Rec. and being 6'3" I was often the tallest guy on the opposing team so I often heard "you got the big guy" line.

FWIW, I've also have been schooled by much shorter players as well...Kristen Tews from the women's team put some kind of bizarre double cross-over on me on a fast break that had my legs twisted like over cooked pasta.

So what's my interest? I'm fluent in Italian and frequent traveler to Italy to visit relatives. I watch the news from Italy (rai.it) daily to keep my comprehension current and from time to time I'll catch a Casey Shaw highlight. BTW.. there's a lot of former MAC players in Serie A--the Italian premier leage.

So do Casey and Dana have kids? I can't wait for that 6'9" point guard to come along. And if its a boy, even better.

Even the referees have advertisements on their uniforms. No conflict of interest there.
