I remember that too. But don't forget, Denny announced he was leaving for SDSU when the team was at the bowl site about two days away from playing the game. Big difference between announcing it now and two or three days before the game.

I vote for Letterman to be HC and Biff Henderson as OC. They won't need a DC.
