After two humiliating and very expensive MAC loses the the owls of Temple defeated the #8 team in the land today. This should really help raise your guys RPI even higher and give two of you's a very good win come selection Sunday....Maybe even the difference in making the MAC a two tourney team.

It's just one game. And Tennessee's RPI is #40, which isn't even the third toughest team you've played so far in the RPI standings.
It will really help, though, when you guys lose to Kent and EMU later.

TEMPLE will be your resume builder this year while others will certainly have to be ours... now quit your bitching about the arrangement and relies that maybe just maybe TEMPLE can help the MAC on the field and on the court and we don;t have to send our volleyball and gymnastics teams to your folksy somewhere 600+ mile away campus.

Temple merely PLAYING the game will help the MAC's RPI. Winning or losing THAT GAME doesn't matter at all.

personally i'm not sure why some mac fans are so catty with temple posters, stop bitchin, temple is part of the mac in a sense (their mens/womens bball sched is like an auxilliary member). yes, some of temple's posters are cocky or dorky but let's cultivate the better ones and keep them around. and in this case the point - of temple getting a huge non conf win helping the mac- makes sense. whoever beat temple (akron and miami?) now has a quality win. the mac doesn't have enough other quality wins to get a 2nd ncaa team but at least it's something. toledo's win over umass looks a lot better now too. kent beating cleve st next week would help as would toledo taking down houston at home. ohio and ball st are slumping. emu has been hanging around at michigan so far
Congrats to Temple on a convincing win over a well thought of SEC team.
Would I like Temple in the MAC for all sports......absolutlely, but I'll take what we have for the time being. We'll all see how things shake out in time.
One thing I think most all Temple followers would agree on is that the Owls football program has been helped by being in the MAC.
Ohio got beat at Delaware, Delaware has been struggling lately.

I know a lot of people are still upset over Temple not bringing basketball into the MAC but it's time to get over it.
