What caused the historic 8" snowfall?
Manbearpig.
You must have not got the memo.

Global warming causes warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods followed by cooling periods followed by warming periods.....

WELL I AM IN ONE " HELUVA " Global Warming Period then !!!!!!

It has been 20 Years since it has snowed here like this and we usually only get snow about every 7 Years on average, but it is always the kind that hits the ground and melts immediately. Icy Bridges are about all we get out of the Deal.

I still have 4 good inches of snow in my yard as I look out my window.

I am looking at Montana on the Gulf Coast.... (no not the Persian Gulf even though I would love to be there)

.
Just at a time when the Global Warming Myth is being supported by fact. They change the name to Global Climate Change and I see obama'messiah on TV sucking on an Al Gore cigar saying he will endorse the Kyoto Protocol and spend billions of taxpayer money to only lower global temperatures 3/100th of a degree over 25 years. All the while countries like China will continue to do their own thing. I will not believe any global computer model, until we can actually predict, tornado, hurricanes, flooding and earthquakes.

That was a tit.

How come I feel that the UN IPCC and that discredited NASA guy already have "measurements" to show that indeed, global warming caused snow in New Orleans?

I for one would welcome a couple extra degrees up here in the Frozen North.

This is what drives me nuts. IF (and I throw in an if only for arguments sake) man could effect the weather, driving UP the temp would be the ideal. The world has always benefited during warming periods.

I've read that some increase in global temperature would actually open hundreds of thousands of tillable acres in the Canadian Plains, which would help lower the cost of food and help feed the world. This same increase in temperature would not lead to much reduction in tillable acreage in other parts of the world.

Plus, the opening of the Northwest Passage would greatly reduce the shipping costs of these new grains and cereals.......

Eagerly awaits posting from someone pointing out that a small island in the Pacific will be underwater if this happens.

Exactly! And everyone elses growing season would be extended. People in cold regions wouldn't be cramped up inside, disease would drop, production would increase, innovation, lifespan, nothing but pluses. People trying to "stop" global warming are criminal in my mind.

Lord Stanley, now why on Earth did you come in here and Post Pure Common Sense Logic ....

You Sir, are guilty of Infusing Intelligence into the Liberal Debate.

Volcano's and Earth Quakes will rumble this day .....

Well, if Katrina was Bush's fault then the snow is probably his fault, too. There won't be any natural diasters during Obama's 4 years.

Not sure if disease would drop. Warmer temperatures would probably allow more insects and more insect-borne disease.

You can't make this **** up.

Nah, I understand that quote. However, its accuarcy is called into question.

Here's my favorite,
"U.S. emissions have increased by 20 percent since 1992. China has more than doubled its carbon dioxide pollution in that time."

HELLO! Anyone read that Kyoto Protocol! Schadenfreude? Anyone? I did, and what stood out is that China was EXEMPT from restrictions (as were India, Mexico, all of S. America!) And everyone opposed to the treaty pointed that out as a huge flaw.

But supposedly that didn't matter!

Oops.
