Mike Thomas just said on radio
Lance and Brian Kelly also mentioned it. If this keeps up UC should be at 10,000 or more by this weekend! Lets buy our entire package of tickets guys!
That is pretty strong.
paul doc can stick that in his pipe and smoke it.
I love Kelly's comment "I know the economy's bad, but we have to sell our tickets just like they do up in Columbus". It's nice having a coach who's willing to compete with and hang on the level of Ohio State!
This is great news! I can't wait for the game. South Fla. will be swarming with Bearcats!
Looks like they only sold 4,000 so far

Irishfan83 was referring to Virginia Tech as they.
What is really interesting about that thread is, they have been to plenty of bowl games in the past and they are saying that if you buy through the school, you pay $125 for End Zone seats, but if you just walk up on Game Day, you get great tickets on the 40 for $50-$75. Hmmmmm.....

I was thinking about this earlier...I was messing around on Ebay and looked at different auctions for Orange Bowl tickets...and found a few that looked very legit for under face value and on a decent yard line....

Oh, okay. Sorry for the mixup.

They also admit that the school loses money by them doing that. They may not care, but I want UC to get the practice fields and the expansion done as quickly as possible. If that means I have to pay $100 more and get a seat that is a little worse in order for that to happen, I am willing to make that sacrifice.
Even wit hthe conomy bad, I think UC has an advantage this year. While other schools have "been here, done that" in regards to BCS bowls, for UC this is a huge deal and our fans are more likely to make a sacrifice this year so they don't miss out on this experience.

Go Cats!

Not many people take a "been there, done that" attitude where a BCS bowl is concerned. The Orange Bowl is a big deal to Va Tech, especially since they've been losing them. But it's true this is a huge deal for us.

Flea is absolutely right: UC fans who choose to buy tickets elsewhere are really hurting UC, which MUST sell all of its tickets. I expect sales to be brisk in the first week. The question is, can we sell all 17,000? That's alot of seats when you consider that it covers nearly all season ticket holders plus 5,000 students.

I would much prefer to be in the UC section among my closest 17,500 friends than elsewhere. And on a side note to those UC fans, who live reasonably close to Cincy, buy season tickets because you get a $50 bowl credit with each season ticket. The football season needs to begin next year as a season sell out.
Keep the updates coming.
After taking 14 separate roadtrips to see the Cats over the last three seasons, I can assure everyone that sitting with UC fans is the best experience no matter what seat location. Sitting among the visitors, even with seats at the fifty, is rather boring.

If you are willing to spend the cash to go to Miami, and the football team has you excited and proud to be a fan, then you MUST buy your seats from UC!
Anyone know what the tally is after today?
They did not have a radio update that I heard like the first two days. They did say it was as busy!
