Take a look on eBay in January and February and you will be able to purchase some of these items for yourself.
I personally believe bowl gifts for players are ridiculous, unless those gifts are then given in person by said players to the disadvantaged. Seems to me the charitable thing to do over the holidays.

Give the players inexpensive items to keep which commemorate the event, along with nice places to dine and visit during the bowl trip.

But why should players get iPods and so forth? Seems pretty commercial to me.
And pretty not amateur.
Years later, as they are walking around on artificial joints, they will be happy they pushed the amateur status. Trust me on that.
