How many people are in the band, I'm sure they'll have to buy tics from the university. WMU should be able to sell 4-5K. If Rice sells out, I suppose Rice fans who wanted to get decent seats might buy them from WMU IF they could buy them online.

For the Nebraska game they made me verify that I was a Gary Fund Donor (or alumni association member as well?).

Did they also do the customary urine test as well? Kidding.
I think since the school has to sell these tickets, they'll be less picky about whose who. I don't know that for a fact, but I'm guessing outside of the payout they got from Nebraska, they didn't get any kickback on tickets sold.
But you could be correct, they may require WMU credentials of some sort to buy tickets.
