I was really impressed with your team. They play hard, play good defense. All I got to say is the refs were horrible both ways. They were calling stupid stuff, then not calling something where someone got mugged.

I didn't watch the game on tv b/c I was on the first row of the student section, but it seemed pretty loud. Our arena is THE best in the nation. What did you guys think of it. The stands are straight up and are against building codes today.

The one thing you need to work on is the stupid shots. You guys helped us with those. They were at the worst times too! Good game you all.

Good luck in the future. You guys should go far in the NCAA tourney.

What do you mean by straight stands?
Lol, the stands are straight up. They are too steep for building codes. Sorry, I'm tired and can't talk or think.
what he means is that when our arena was originally built, it was built at an extremely steep angle to funnel the noise down to the court. this was done before building codes called for lesser angles, so when we added on, we essentially just made a bigger funnel.

Why does the fire department make OSU redesign the arena?
probably because they got "grandfathered" in. the arena was built before the new codes, so as long as is passes inspection every year, then there's no reason to re-build it. lots of places tore down their old buildings to build nicer, more modern ones. i know that kentucky did it a few years ago. instead, osu just added more seats at the same angle to keep the crowd noise as intense as it is.

How would it pass the fire tests each year if the arena is against fire code?

Yeah, I realize the fire departments near OSU probably make an "exception" for the sake of the University. :D

yes . they are.
Do you notice that the original intent of this thread was to discuss the game but was immediately hijacked by BlazerSax and his lack of knowlegde of building codes, fire codes and OSU's basketball arena. 03-puke

Another thread hijacked. The more questions he asks the more he reminds me of a 5 year old kid that keeps on saying "Why?"

Dude, I was asking a simple question.

If you ever SLIGHTLY change the subject of a thread from now on, I'm going to call you out.

Take a chill pill...jesus.
