Anybody else try to solve their little daily riddles to find that rock? It's quite fun. I started helping my mom decipher the clues a few years back and we've done it every since. Although we've never been close to the actual location of the rock, it's always fun to see how bad you are at deciphering clues haha.

This years clues so far are:
Jingle Bell Rock Clues:
1.)To find the prize you must make the right choice, the rock is hidden within the sound of my voice.
2.)The object of your search will fit into your Christmas sock, in honor of the new pres, we are re-naming it the baa-rack.
3.)The object of your desire is in a safe place, the best time to go searching is when the sun shines on your face.
4.)You can drive to the rock but you cannot fly, it’s away from the traffic and quiet nearby.
5.)Over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house we go, you may want to watch your speed limit and take it real slow.

Bonus Clues:
1.)When viewed from the right angle it is easy to see, it is resting right next to your new “Xmas” tree.
2.)Follow the clues or you will surely lose, when looking for the rock wear some old shoes.
3.) It’s all about direction, no history or math, ours rock’s resting place lies off the beaten path.

It's definately in a park somewhere. I was thinking either Overman, Shelby Farms, or Worthington Park in West Memphis. Maybe that park over by Houston High School. I'll probally be off by 20+ miles haha.

Oh yeah, they are actually giving out a NEW car this year, no used ones ha. I was just wondering if anybody else played along.

Actually, the commercial that I heard said that the car had "approximately" eighteen thousand-x hundred miles on it, so it might have never been "owned" (maybe a rental, or leased), but it's definitely not a new minivan.

Although I always try to figure out where it is, I never actually go looking for it. I usually skip about the first week of clues...the first one is always the "sound of my voice" one.

I guess because it legally HAS to be on public property, it's always going to be in a park. Just once, I wish they'd hide it in Arkansas or Mississippi.

When I first heard the "over the river" clue, I thought it might actually be in AR this time, but then I figured it was Shelby Farms, since Wolf River runs right through those woods, and the speed limit on Farm Road is 35 mph. My guess is it's somewhere off of one of the biking trails in Shelby Farms.

I think last year, it was found LOOONNNNGGG before they intended it to be. You know, part of the contest from WRVR's perspective is getting people to listen so that they can sell more advertising...when Jerry Dean, the station mgr, came in the studio last year when the rock was found, you could tell that he was pizzed that it had been found so quickly.

Few more clues, somebody found it like a week and half ago. I wasn't even close haha.
i've never heard of this before. details? are you actually looking for a rock?
Yep it's an actual rock. Your are searching all of Memphis looking like an idiot trying to find a rock haha. It's fun though just going out and getting some fresh air and exploring all the parks in Memphis. They do it every December starting December 1st untill someone finds it.
where was it at this year?
Orange Mound.
It was at Poplar Estates Park
