Former UC basketball and NBA player Corie Blount faces a drug charge after police say they found nearly 29 pounds of marijuana inside his Liberty Township home.

Yesterday, agents also seized $29,500, a Mercedes benz, Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban and three guns.

Blount was placed in the Butler County Correctional Complex and was later released on a $10,090 bond.

Blount spent ten years in the NBA for seven different teams.

The sheriff's office say they intercepted a package containing 11 pounds of pot which was marked to be delivered to Blount's home via the U.S. Postal Service. Officials arranged for Blount to pick up the package, then followed him to his home.

They arrested Blount on the way to his home and executed a search of the residence, where they found two more packages containing marijuana.

well, at least he chose the right product for marketing purposes...

of course, being too good at marketing yourself as a criminal is a good way to get caught.

but then using the mail? wow! that is not smart. plus it probably adds an additional federal charge.
