Question for the BG guys...when Meyer left for Utah, Beckman stayed behind, correct? Was he ever a candidate for HC when Brandon got the job?
yes,and I think that was one reason he left for Ohio State later on, to clear that off his resume of finishing 2nd! Just my hunch. He is very much a NW Ohio guy as is his wife. Hell, I wouldn't be suprised to see them live in BG!

His new quote will be "It's every college assistant coaches dream to be the head football coach at Toledo".
I would expect to see Mike Ward making the move up to Toledo. He and Beckman were pretty solid (that's if Dino can't convince him to stay with the Flacons!)

No, I don't. I just saw that they were 2-10 this season, and by the numbers their offense didn't look the greatest.
I hope BG does get a good coach, because when the MAC was in its prime from 2000-2006, UT, BG, Miami and Marshall were leading the conference.
Sit down and I'll try to explain........you see Dino was at BG for a short time, and was (how should I put this) not a very respected or competent coach on or off the field, so it is a standing JOKE around BG, that whenever we need a coach, that we could always bring "Dino" back. Some of us could tell many stories about his "travels" but we'll leave that for another time!:drinky2:
