According to Dodd, Tuberville is out at Auburn, and Bobby Petrino has been contacted about the job. 03-lmfao 03-lmfao 03-lmfao

Tommy Tuberville is out at Auburn after 10 seasons. While it is not immediately clear if he was fired or resigned, the likeable coach will do just fine. He is owed $6 million in a buyout due in a couple of $3 million installments.

There are no jobs out there at the moment that seem to fit him. Tuberville was rumored to be interested in Clemson but that job just filled with interim coach Dabo Swinney.

The school hasn't waited around. Tubs has spoken to both AD Jay Jacobs and president Jay Gogue since Monday. It has contacted both Mike Leach and Bobby Petrino. Also, Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp told the school no. Auburn may have contacted Steve Spurrier as well.

At this moment, Auburn's top choices seem to be Petrino and Georgia Tech's Paul Johnson. Petrino might be tough to pry loose from Arkansas. He apparently has a non-compete clause in his contract that could be expensive to get out of.

Russ Campbell, Petrino's agent, said he has not been contacted by Auburn and that his client is not a candidate "for any hypothetical opening" Auburn may have.

Also watch for Florida State's Jimbo Fisher to get a call. He has ties to the school.
Petrino has a clause in his contract specifically barring him from leaving for another SEC West school. It won't be him.

Petrino will resign from Arkansas and take the Washington job. He will be the Huskies coach for one week, then resign and take the Auburn job. 03-lmfao 03-lmfao 03-lmfao
I thought you were going to say Brian Kelly.
ESPN said Auburn has contacted Texas Tech Head Coach Leach's attorney...but it might be too late...as he might be headed to UW (or he delays his decision...maybe using Auburn and even TT, who is still trying to find $$$$ to keep him in Lubbock, TX...and get even more $$$ from the folks up in Seattle.

W/ Petrino, I could see any number of screwy situations coming to pass...
i was listening to ESPN the other day and they threw out a stat i couldnt believe. In the past 2.5 years, Petrino has signed 20 years worth of coaching contracts with Louisville, Atlanta, and Arkansas.
Some of these Coach's really make no sense to me in leaving. Take Leech for instanse. Why leave Texas Tech while its on top and has a great chance to win the Big 12 next year and make more runs at the National Championship and rebuild Washington? Why would Paul Johnson leave Georgia Tech as well? I know money is involved but i'm sure Texas Tech and Georgia Tech has the funds to give a pay increase. It was really pleasant to hear that Brian Kelly stayed at Cincinnati when he had the chance to go to Tennessee or Notre Dame. I think Kelly might be there to stay for a long time and be an exception.
