As per AL.com
I vote for Tub's as our new DC!
Maybe they will hire someone better and more ethical like Bobby Petrino ... 03-lmfao
Could we bump Ole Miss and add Auburn to the OOC football schedule next year? 05-stirthepot

If CNC has ANY coaching ability whatsoever, UAB will win more football games than Auburn next year.
That's pretty stupid.
Knee jerk.
They will be down for 2-3 years at least.
What in the world are they thinking? It just goes to show you that these schools have more money than they know what to do with.

Go Blazers!
Tubs is laughing all the way to the bank, 6 mill
So stupid on many levels.

There isn't a coach available that will do for Auburn what Tuberville did for them. Rumor is that Auburn has already contacted Mike Leach and Bobby Petrino. If Petrino leaves Arkansas, he will be the most hated coach in the country.

I"m sure Tennessee and especially Clemson hate that they've already hired coaches before this decision was made.
That is quite dumb of Auburn. I wonder what the odds of him going to MSU are.
Karle was reporting that Petrino's contract stipulates that he won't leave for another $EC West team for a least 2 years.

Not that any paper he's put pen to has ever been worth anything.
Miss St just got a new leading candidate.
That's why they're Auburn.

If they do the smart thing and hire Pat Sullivan, will he give us a home-and-home series?

It would be a step down, but it's really the only job I see him taking. I'm sure State would be more than happy to have him. I can't see him going to Washington or Syracuse or any of the non-BCS jobs.
In case anyone missed it on al.com the words "Tuberville out" is written no less than 6 times on their front page.
Tubs is an egomaniac. I'm sure he sees MSU as a step down. I think if he takes anything, it will be outside the SEC.
What about South Carolina? Was there any truth to the news of Spurrier's resignation at year end?

This was a stupid move for Auburn. Of course, I thought that Alabama was stupid for firing Shula too. We'll see if Auburn can pull off a blockbuster like that.

I figured that Mike Leach would be the front runner for the Auburn job. Too bad he runs the spread, they hate that down there. Do they try and woo Will Muschamp out of his deal with Texas? Heck, what about Tommy Bowden? Do they dare give another Bowden the reigns down there?

Ty Willingham is looking for a job. I'm sure that's the bammer's leading candidate for the Auburn job.

Stupid Auburn!
You want to be next in line at USC after Holtz and Spurrier both flopped?

Who me?

Heck yeah, I don't care who is there before me. I'm sure that it pays more than I make now.

Tubby, on the other hand, who knows. The point is he will land somewhere and it will have more to do with dollars than anything else.
