What qualities should we looking for in new head coach?

My thoughts:

1. Must have recruiting roots in Midwest prefer strong Michigan ties.
2. Some NFL coaching experience would be nice.
3. Div II or the old IAA head coaching experience or assistant had a high profile program

Some open questions:

Generally we hired offensive minded head coaches. Do we need to be looking for a defensive minded head coach?

What type of offense should we looking at?

Should any of the current coaches be retained if so who?

Coaches who I would retain would be Lee the Defensive Line Coach and Symington the O-Line coach. The rest should be cleared.

Why those two coaches?

I think that those two develop talant well. If you look at the O-line you have guys like TJ Lang who is a converted D-Linemen and Eric Davis who was a walk-on. Both of them have turned into impressive players.
