EMU Coach fired
There is a thread on the EMU board for those interested...
Couldn't even wait one week for the final game to be played? It's a tough year to be looking for a new head coach. There are at least 15 HCs getting fired this season.
IMO Genyk is a decent coach and will land on his feet. EMU is a NASTY job. Genyk is better than a few coaches who are still employed in the MAC.
So I move to Oklahoma and all hell breaks loose.

Too bad. I talked to Genyk just before moving and he knew this may happen, nevertheless I am sorry to lose him. It's a tough job at EMU and I don't know how much better anybody else is going to be able to do at this point.

For those wondering about MAC Report Online, we just got our Internet connected today and we will be getting the site back up to speed in the next day or two. Thanks for your patience.
Like I said on the EMU board, just having Lloyd Carr's name attached to our program is big in itself.

For those who haven't read it yet, here is the official release:

I feel sorry for you. Not only does your team lose their coach but you have to live in Oklahoma. A double dose of bad news. 03-lmfao

p.s. watch out for tornados!

LOL! Especially since my wife just found out that summers here average around 103 degrees! We are in the plains -- tornado alley baby! Livin' on the edge! 03-lmfao

Yeah, but it's a dry heat...

(That's what the locals will tell you, as if 103 ain't pretty damn hot regardless.) 04-chairshot
Bowling Green should fire their coach too.
AL Golden still thinks they may switch it up and not pass the ball... Who here thinks 3 points separates the best coach in the MAC from one that is fired?
I hope the new EMU head coach likes an overwhelming challenge with the cards stacked against him from the get go, because that is what he's going to get.

OK is one a few places I've ever been to that makes Bowling Green look mountainous.

Can I get a tree?

The official state tree of Oklahoma is a telephone pole.

I think I really, really, really know what you mean, really, really. Do you know what I mean? 03-banghead
Maybe next time he gets a shot, he'll think twice before pulling an offer from a commit, too.

Yeah that was bush league. I actually knew the kid he did that too. His family took it hard.
EMU needs Lloyd Carr to pick himself as coach of EMU. That would create some excitement in the program and the MAC.
