Teams ahead of UC that lost:

#18 LSU,#15 MSU, #14 BYU.

i don't know where we end up but i'm guessing (hoping) somewhere inside of the 15-12 range...
I'm going to say, #12 or #13.
Should be at least 15, maybe lower.

I would be shocked if UC is any worse then #14.
BE gets ZERO respect. It seems like the polls look for excuses to rank ACC teams and the BE has to really prove it. In my mind UC, WVU, Pitt, Rutgers or UConn would have won the ACC if they were in that sorry league.

Haven't you been reading the Pitt and WVU boards? The Big East gets no respect because of teams like UC 03-lmfao
I agree the Big East doesn't get a lot of respect, but I wouldn't say they get zero respect. Remember, last year UC cracked the Top 25 by simply beating bad teams like Marshall, San Diego State, SE Missouri State and Miami-OH and beating a good Oregon State program. That wouldn't have gotten us in the Top 25 in C-USA, but it did in the Big East. That being said, I agree, they look for any reason to jump an ACC team up the rankings. North Carolina should have been no where near the Top 15.
If we can be say, 15 and then beat CUSE we will go to 12 and then beat Hawaii we should be around 10 for BCS bowl!!!!!

Still can't believe we are this close to a BCS bowl!!!
If we didn't lose to UConn then we would be Top 10. Oh well...................
From the outside perspective and knowing how the polls are disrespecting the Big East. Cuse's win helps the Big East cause. But I'm going to say 14-15 and if you handle Cuse like you should. You could end up 11-12 range. The pollsters suck. And Pitt will drop out of the polls.

I've said all year that rankings didn't matter to me. I wanted the BE championship. Whether we were top 10 or unranked I thought that our ultimate goal should be the BE championship. Now we're one game away.
If UC were given the respect we deserved this year in the preseason (some "experts" picked us to finish 5th in the Big East????) We would have been preseason top 20-25 and now would probably be sitting pretty right around 10th...
15 I'm guessing
IMO UC got in last year due to the impressive results of the BE in the prev year's bowls and the conf OOC results. This year the BE didn't do nearly as well OOC and the conf has paid for it all year long.

As for the Cats... I think we'll be ranked somewhere around 16, 14 at best and I think that's about right until the SU game is over. It seems everytime a BE team gets moved up, they get knocked off the next week. Granted that's due to a balanced conf but the fact still remains.

It kind of begs the question, would the BE be better off with one or two clear top dogs and a several other above average teams with an annual cellar dweller or to be as balanced as we are?
