Quote:The one dollar student tickets will be available at the Huskie Stadium box office. Fans can also get the tickets, and all other tickets, in advance by calling the NIU ticket office at (815) 752-6800, or visiting the "Tickets" section of NIUHuskies.com.
Great - you get screwed for buying a full price ticket in advance- NICE!
Call marketing and ask for a refund or something?

I'm pretty sure they've ended up doing this the past two years for the last game of the season. Technically they gave tickets to the '06 game vs WMU for the West Championship out free. I know what you mean, still sort of sucks though...
Yeah, they've been doing this the past two years. It's to get as many fans into Huskie Stadium as possible.
Considering I need to buy at least two more tickets for this game, I couldn't be happier.
How much do you pay for parking?
Any place for free parking?

If you go north on Annie Glidden (or south coming from where I am) you can get in a lot for $5. That's where I normally park.

Sycamore
My driveway.
NIU is really trying to get the word out on this game. Got a recorded message from Harnish today telling me to get to the game. The AD is borrowing the Huskie Bus, putting some banners on the side of it, and driving it around campus on Monday and Tuesday trying to get the word out on the game.02-13-banana
How do you get the 1 dollar tickets on ticketmaster?
WOW..

Don't panic everyone...

The author of this thread purposely deleted the word "student" from his quotation of the article. Fishy...

Here is the real quote

"Like all Huskie football games, NIU students get in to Tuesday's game for free, but for "Student Night," pupils of all ages can get into the game for just one dollar."

They are NOT selling general admission tickets for one dollar. They are offering one dollar tickets to only STUDENTS. Anyone that read the article would have seen this. 01-wingedeagle

Sorry my bad, did not realize it was students only.
For crying out loud, how can anybody complain if they already purchased a full price ticket for the game. You're supporting your alma mater's perpetually cash-strapped athletic program for crying out loud. Plus the regular price of a football ticket is dirt cheap to begin with. Let NIU have the few extra bucks. Maybe spring for a NIU managed parking spot too. Saving $5 to park 1/2 mile away on a frigid and dark November night?? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

You have to understand different people have different financial situation. And as a sidenote, most nights are dark, at least to date.

lol, i copied and pasted it exactly as it was on the site. I'm sure they probably later noticed they omitted the word "student" from it. Why would i "purposely" try to deceive anyone on here? 03-melodramatic

I'm sure niuhuskies.com has not given incorrect information on their website in the past before it was changed. Oh wait, they have!
/Still can get tickets for $1.
