Named the No.5 Super Senior by The Birmingham News - "something that really surprised me," Bledsoe said - he's on a lot of recruiting lists. Ole Miss had him for a fleeting moment with an oral commitment after a recruiting trip, but he changed his mind. UAB, Alabama, South Florida and Memphis are all in the mix; the one with the upper hand might come from the school that puts his home life before his on-court life.

"It's starting to get intense, and it's good and bad," Bledsoe said. "I like getting the calls, but the bad part is it's getting on my mom's (Maureen Reddick) nerves. They call late at night, and it's driving her crazy."
This kid's going to be a question mark up until the second he puts pen to paper. I just hope that it's on UAB letterhead.
Its been reported the Memphis, among others, wanted him to wait until Spring...05-stirthepot
He is very questionable to be eligible as a freshman as it stands. Folks want him to wait so they can see if it looks like he will graduate and make his test score before making a decision on giving him a scholly.

Good point.

Also, if he's concerned about finding a coach that's putting him and his family first, I feel good about our chances.

Bledsoe may not even get to play HS ball this year. You have got to feel really bad for this kid.

Why might he miss this season??
Maybe because he is spending all his time visiting colleges and getting recruited by schools that he wont qualifiy for !

At least not without a year or two of prep school.

He has had very few visits in the last 2-3 months. He was declared ineligible to play for Parker on Monday. He didn't play last Friday night. There is a possibility of some changes coming up, but we'll see. I just feel bad for the kid. He needs someone around him who truly just cares about HIM, not his basketball skills...because at this point, those are gravy.

Sounds like CMD to me...
Prep school is no longer an option to make up core classes - you can get credit for only one course after May of your senior year. Both Bledsoe to a lessor extent cousins may have ths same problem.

You can basically only improve a test score by going to prep school - JC or Europe appear to the only options for "grade/core" problems.

Bump...

(for those that don't read the recruiting forum but would care)

So I spoke with someone who SHOULD know something and he said he is as confused as ever. At the beginning of last week, there was controversy brewing over whether or not Eric would step foot on a high school court this year. Well, out of nowhere, he was allowed to play this past weekend. I don't know what's going on (and neither does my buddy), but he looked good over the weekend. Bledsoe had 23pts, 6assts and 10rebs last night against Syllacauga.

For those that might be interested in heading out and seeing some games (Bledsoe included), Parker's big Thanksgiving tournament is this week. Here is the schedule:

Does no one at Parker even have MS Excel skills, let alone spelling ability? Sorry, but that is a sloppy excuse for a bracket.

haha, it actually WAS WAAAAAAY WORSE than that. I went in and cleaned it up in MSPaint because I didn't want to take the time to create a whole new document (PS - I know losers is spelled wrong, but when I did it I honestly didn't even read what I was typing...just typed it as it appeared. I swear) 03-lmfao . Here's the original, HAHA:

Last night, Bledsoe had 18points, 8rebounds, 8steals, 6assts, 3 blocks and 3 turnovers. He shot 3-10 from the field (1 from 3pt at the buzzer of the first half) and 11-13 from the free throw line. I've got video that I will share but need to get it on the computer real quick.

Hope you guys enjoy! This is from last night. Eric is #1 in the white (home) jersey.
