Post subject: Jamie Stewart update

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6'3 guard Jamie Stewart of Livonia Clarenceville has gathered a nice group of programs that have taked notice since his rescinding his verbal commitment to Easern MI. U.

EMU is still in the mix as well as:

Jamie Stewart (2009) has received interest from Iowa State, Penn State, U of Detroit, Cleveland St., Loyola of Chicago, and Long Beach St.
That's nice. I really wish the staff finds another player a player that is totally committed to playing for EMU and winning here not playing verbal tag you're the school for me, guess again no you're not.
COWBOY - I'M WITH YOU! I BELIEVE THEY WILL BE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER WING PLAYER.

I still think someones puting a lot of crap in this kid's head. "Why are you going to EMU when the mighty Big 10 is looking at you???"
Agree or the kid is looking for something (i.e. promise of PT etc.) When he verbally committed in early July I believe, he was very, very complimentary of coach Thomas from EMU. It was a great article and the kid said all the right things. Then in September he reneged. Better in September prior to his signing than afterwards. You have to want to be here etc.

This kid is gambling with his future. The risk for this kid is that he could end up at a school that was not high on his list to begin with. Let's say Rams backs away, PSU and ISU don't offer, and then the others (UDM, CSU, etc) lose interest or run out of schollies. The kid could end up at his 4th or 5th choice.

First choice, best choice.
Agree, he's rolling the dice! If EMU is recruiting another wing, which I believe they are, they may just say thanks but no thanks to him when it comes time to sign in the spring. A lot of things can happen.
I personally wouldn't wait on him, he had his chance but aparently is confused.
I agree with everything being said. He's probably a great kid, but if he's not sold on us, we shouldn't be sold on him. And, it sounds like that is Ramsey's philosophy as well.

That being said, if he recommits, i'll probably still be just as excited. So, maybe i'm full of crap.
Or is there a chance that this kid may not be eligible through the clearinghouse. I know he went back or his word, but he may have gotten his paperwork telling a different story.
Good Point! Eligibility could be an issue!
This is from Steve Bell:

Word out of Clarenceville is he's taken his game up a notch, and is poised for a big senior year and will sign in the spring.

He's hearing from Loyola, U of D, Cleveland St., Iowa State, Penn State, Long Beach State, Tulane.
