I hear rumors that if the weather [inside Ford Field] is good there crowd could be a nice walk up crowd.
It would be nice if there was a good drive up crowd from Illinois.

The bad news, if WM wins. Ill could lose to Ohio St & @ NW and no B-10 for Motor City Bowl

That's good because the BE steps in then. The BE needs more bowls this year in case the backroom deal that Trained Goose initiated with the Gator Bowl and ND comes off this year. If ND steals a BE bowl there won't be enough bowls for the BE eligible teams. They will have to rely on at large bids. At least the BE is the backup conference to this bowl and gives it a bowl tie in if the above scenario plays out for Illinois.

That article sounds to me like it is preparing the Illini faithful for a fall that could very easily come this afternoon against the Broncos. Go WMU.

Broncos misfired on their first drive in the red zone. Should have had 7 but got 3.
Illini getting the ball for the first time.
Go Broncos!

Simmons trying to start stuff early by getting in the face of Zook on the sideline. You don't need to do anything to get these guys riled up.
And as I type this WMU gets picked for six, but it's called back due to a penalty.

I think if you have a chance to beat a Big Ten team you take it. The bowl scene will work itself out in due time.

I agree but it is nice to see the option presented that might lead to another bowl opening for the BE. The patch work bowl system Trained Goose put together after the raid when the BE was in a weak negotiating position left the BE short on bowl options for BE bowl eligible teams.
