Just launched today. Guess they got tired of people uploading videos to YouTube. The new site boasts to have EVERY video Mtv has shown.

Thanks O. Had fun looking at some Rush videos. When you click on most watched, being "Rick Rolled" is #2

The end of the video reminds me of b. 03-nutkick
Best videos I can recall:

Black Hole Sun
Thriller
Hot for Teacher (because it's so ridiculous)
Fish Heads
Paradise By the Dashboard Lights
Addicted to Love
Under Pressure
Well the email I received before the release made a boast that I guess MTV couldn't keep, or hasn't kept yet. Missing a bunch of videos so far.

But they did have one of the worst videos of all time, Bob Til You Drop by Rick Springfield.
I'll admit that MTV was huge back in the 80's when I was in high school (graduated in 1983). Even in college, you could go to some hangouts and they'd have a TV on with videos playing. I like such a wide range of music it really didn't matter. If it's a good song, it's a good song, no matter the genre - rock, pop, r&b, hip-hop, bubble gum.........whatever.

I always liked Aerosmith alot. And Michael Jackson wasn't a goober back in 1983. I remember when Billie Jean and Beat It came out on the radio. Everyone was going nuts. It was definitely one of those signature musical moments in time.
MTV use to be pretty good. I can't stand to have that trash on anymore. So ignorant. (Minus an episode of The Hills here and there...)

It has a lot of them, but not every one. I looked for the The Vapors, Turning Japanese and its not on there.

This is the first time I have seen that one. Chevy Chase is very good.
Mr. H, A signature musical moment in time? Maybe for you.......

A signature musical moment in time for me would be hearing London Calling for the first time, or the Ramones singing I Want to be Sedated. Things would not be the same after that.

I graduated HS in 1973 and it seemed like everyone was heavily in to music. The jocks were listening to America and Chicago and rubbish like that. The stoners were divided along the lines of Ozzy / Sabbath or Who/Stones/ Dead. I hung with some guys a little older than me and I clearly remember one of them having his mom bring him the first Santana album back from a trip to SF.

Me? In HS my two faves were the Allman Brothers and Wishbone Ash.

There is music out there for everybody and I am still heavily in to it. I spent the weekend in NYC at two Phil Lesh and Friends shows. One I can recommend that is coming up soon is Kathleen Edwards at the 20th Century. She 's a folky-rocker from eastern Canada that some say sounds a bit like Lucinda.

Others weigh in, please. Best concert you have seen or best concert bill..............

Oleskl, you're in to the rockabilly stuff. The great Wanda Jackson is coming here soon. I believe she is in her late seventies and I wouldn't miss it.

My brother is 6 years older than me, and my sister is 4 years older than me. I grew up on everything from Pink Floyd, Foghat, Earth Wind & Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears, Elton John, Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones, Styx, Foreigner, Boston, Chicago, Doobie Brothers, Yes, Jeff Beck, The Eagles, Journey, Van Halen to mention a few...........and all the 80's stuff including the dance crap from the clubs. I even enjoy some of the 90's bands like Matchbox Twenty and others.
Janis Joplin, The Who's Tommy, Beatles, Dark Side of the Moon.

My older brother bought the Herb Alpert album with the babe covered in whipped cream - was that the taste of honey album?
