This team hasn't beaten anybody.

They also havn't played anybody. Will probably have to wait until their bowl game to see what they are really capable of.

Yep. There is a reason Ball State is ranked 17th and NIU isn't.

NIU, under Kill, is a work in progress. They're on the road trying to beat the 17th ranked team in the country with a freshman QB. That's tough to do.

Right now, BSU really looks like the best team on the field. Now we can see how good these coaches really are. Can they make the adjustments to get NIU back into the game, or is this one over?

I agree funny how losing changes everybody's opinion.

I think we are realizing that BSU is a much better team than we even thought. They are arguably better than even we were in 2003. They might go undefeated... They are just really good I won't lie.

No, they aren't. Ball State won't go undefeated. They arren't that good.

Miami, CMU, or WMU? Which one is it going to be? I assume CMU, but without their star qb i doubt its possible. I think they can do it.

I'm just frustrated because we have always at least put up a good fight on national TV games. As of now, we have just layed an egg, and it's incredibly frustrating when we all thought we had a good chance of winning this game.

If NIU goes and puts 7 on the board to start the half, they still have a shot.

The odds of that happening--bad.

I don't know if I'd say that, I just think right now nobody is sure how good they are. They haven't played a good enough team yet to really judge them.

And, to be fair, they've won every game they've played by 12 or more points. That's very difficult to do.

They'll lose to at least one of CMU and WMU, if not both. CMU can go score for score with them, even with Brunner playing QB.

I agree I never really thought NIU would be able to win this game but its a good challenge for them.

I just don't think they aren't that good. If they end up beating CMU and WMU, then I will start to believe. If I end up being wrong, it won't be the first time.

I know Harnish has no time, but we have to throw a few to the middle of the field. How about some quick slants and get some yards after the catch.

Fair enough.

I know some people hate the computer ratings, but most that use only scoring margin do have Ball State very high (Top 20-ish). They haven't played anybody really good, but they haven't really struggled to win a game yet, either.

Ball State looks like an undefeated, ranked team. We don't. Not too much of a surprise. Granted we have won some games the last few weeks, we stepped up in competition tonight and we havent met the challenge. Keep in mind we have a freshman qb and rb. The future should still be bright. Ball State had talent a couple years ago but the wins werent there.
