Here is who teams ranked #20 and less are playing next week:

20. West Virginia (#30 Cincinnati)
21. California (@ #7 USC)
22. Georgia Tech (@ #19 North Carolina)
23. Maryland (@ Virginia Tech)
24. Florida State (Clemson)
25. Pittsburgh (#33 Louisville)
26. Northwestern (#12 Ohio State)
27. Tulsa (@ Houston)
28. Kansas (@ Nebraska)
29. Minnesota (Michigan)
30. Cincinnati (@ #20 West Virginia)
31. Oregon State (@ UCLA)
32. South Carolina (Arkansas)
33. Louisville (@ #25 Pittsburgh)
34. Air Force (Colorado State)
35. Arizona (@ Washington State)
36. Central Michigan (@ Northern Ill)
37. South Florida (Rutgers)

There are 5 teams in the lower half of the rankings that are not favored going into next week ahead of Ball State so they should make up some ground.

CMU probably will not be able to make up enough ground to be ranked in the top 25 prior to the Ball State game on 11/19. It would be nice to see a matchup of two ranked teams on national TV.

The winner of CMU-BSU will probably win the MACC.
it's going to be tough for BSU to beat CMU since it's at CMU on a nationally televised game.

Is Lafaevour expected back for that game?
I don't know if CMU gets by NIU. NIU is coming on strong and it is at Northern
The NIU game is a huge hurdle for CMU to get over. The Huskies have had our number for a long time but hopefully the team is back intact from injuries and LeFevour is able to play. We will need all hands on deck to come out with a W.
Don't bet against the Chips the rest of the way. At this point in the season it doesn't seem to matter what sort of adversity this team has to deal with, like the champions they are they just keep finding ways to win. I said going into the Indiana game we had been squeaking by in too many games and that had to bite us in the a.. sooner or later. I thought our little win streak would end at Indiana but I'll be damned it these guys didn't pull out another one. I'm now a believer. I agree Northern Illinois is going to be a challenge but believe me, this team will find some way to win it, even if it's only by one point.

Because of all the injuries CMU has experienced the staff is playing just enough talent to win each week. There is still some firepower in the hole and a few more will return for the NIU?BSU games. Don't ever bet against the chips. Getting no respect just pisses them off and that is a good thing in the end. 04-rock
It will be cool if both CMU and BSU finish in the top 25.

I would think 2 teams finishing in the top 25 would mark a very good year for the MAC. Heck, its rare that we even have 1 finish top 25.

Not as good as 2003, but 2008 is a 5 year high water mark for the conference.
