Temple starts it's march [stumble] to east div crown.
hoagies,Hienaken & MAC FB, can't beat it.
Ohio & Ball St are they only 2 MAC teams I,ve never seen play.
Ohio needs this one. A win puts them in a tie for first in the East.
Temple will win out the rest of the season starting tonight... and its simply due to the opponent level... NAvy will be a contest but Ohio and the rest of the games should be wins. I see an easy win on national TV tonight.

VE:

I'm not a betting man, but if I had to put cash down on this one, I'd pick Temple. I think Golden has the Owls primed to finish strong.
I won;t bet on a perfect end to the season but its possible... I know its also is somehow possible we still win the east... buts that's unlikely... I guess we say we were AKroned to start most of the season...
i'd say you were hit too hard on the head when you were "Akroned" if you honestly think tonight's game will be easy for you!
well that's why your bobcat baker... I would hope you think its going to be a battle or an easy win for you guys... That being said we have the best defense in the MAC and we get back our game changing QB. Your playing a JUCO QB with only a few games under his belt and turn the ball over like its a poisonous bomb. Our red zone defense is awesome also... IF CS our fill in QB could have hit 1 or two of the 10 wide open receivers in in the last few MAC games we would have rolled on WMU and CMU. I hope for an injury free game and a nice turnout for the Temple base caught up in Phillies fever and our first cold spell of the year. 20k or so should turnout to see a great evening of a nationally televised Owl dominating good old fashion butt whopping.... but thats what i think most every week... That being said... logically it should be a good close hard fought game...

good thing they delayed daily savings time this year.... athens hasn't been this peaceful in years...
not that i want to get into a pissing match with you, but let me ask you this one question. how do you define "best defense in the MAC?" as i look at the most recent stats, including every category in both the overall and league-only games, the only defensive category i see Temple leading in is rush defense in league games.

in addition, i see you are dead last in practically every offensive category including passing offense, rushing offense, and total offense.

also, i hear your "game changing" QB is questionable (a "game time" decision according to your coach). conversely, Boo Jackson has been improving each and every week.

i'm not being so bold as to guarantee a Bobcat victory tonight, but i also think (as you do) it's going to be a close, hard-fought game with very little scoring on either side of the ball.
For fans of a piss-poor university with no football tradition in a cess pool of a city, the Temple fans sure are an arrogant bunch.
The most important question I have about tonight's matchup - Is Bill Cosby going to be representing?
to reply to Bobcat fan... Temple University is a top university in one of the best cities in the world. We outdraw all other MAC schools so tradition be damned that doesn't say much for your schools. This board is absolutely dead unless you make a bold claim now and again... All I am doing is saying how I see it.

Temple's defense is fantastic. Statistics only mean something at the end of the year when everyone has played each other... or at least close to it. At the end of the year the Temple defense will be top#5 in every category and #1 in several categories. Temple has played very well and close to the top teams in the MAC. They will roll tonight because AD will lead the team to victory, he is just that good. IF he doesn't play or is not 90%+ then all bets are off.

Temple is a good team. They haven't gotten things to go their way... that's what bad teams do on their way to winning. IT will take time but the talent and athletes are there. Its a perfect stage for them to come to life.

Unfortunately Bill Cosby is expected to be there... hopefully he will will leave his pill case at home and soon join the army and help win this iraq war!!! and leave his fortune to the university.

In your mind only (along with maybe a few other delusional Owl fans).
I also find it amusing that most of the Temple fans are predicting an easy victory tonight, despite the fact that the Bobcats spanked the Owls last year 23-7.

Wishing death upon somebody is pretty much against the AUP.

Let's try to stay away from such comments.
Army also beat us... and oklahoma beat texas... and michigan beat penn state and ....

Wow, just wow. That statement pretty much sums up Temple fans for you.

Delightful.

I think Temple Football will win, tonight, and on out through the remaining MAC schedule because we have more depth. As the season wears on, it becomes difficult to keep your team intact. The only player that was irreplacable on Temple was lost against PSU for 3 weeks. If he stays healthy, we will win out.

I dont think the football scores will have anything to do with the education, tradition or rubbish found miles off campus. I for one would love to see Athens...the Parthenon, the Acropolis and the Temple of Athena. Must be nice, would you send me a brochure ?

Regards,

Real

even public figures who drug women and are all around creeps?... Its not like i said I hope someone hurts him or anything????

Its exactly what it is... Temple fans are real ...just cause some guy puts on a sweater and looks like a good guy on TV and drew a cartoon about a fat kid doesn't mean they are a good person. He is what is wrong with America in general, so darn worried about everyone else he doesn;t even take the time to look in the mirror.

IT's got to be just like every year come day light savings time... you hold your breath hoping your city doesn't get burned down... can;t people jsut forgot what happened so many years ago???

anyways time to go to the "game" in the most fantastic city in the world ... for ESPN's sake I hope Ohio makes a game of it... no real sports on this Tuesday night and a route would just be ugly.

Perhaps you will, perhaps you won't. I think the 4 point spread is probably about right. It won't be a "laugher" though, as you predicted in the other thread. Temple's overall talent level is no better than Ohio's, nor does Temple have a coaching advantage.
