I am posting this because I know there are a lot of Cardinal fans on here that make trips to StL to see games. Everyone knows about food on the hill - my wife and I ate at Cunettos this last weekend - and you can't go wrong with most establisments there.
My recommendation is something not found on the Hill and is not Italian food.
You owe it to yourself to check out Blues City Deli. It's about 2 miles from Busch Stadium. They have the best deli, an average beer selection, and many root beers and cream sodas. Better muffuletta than I have had anywhere (including New Orleans). They make their own breads and chopped olive spreads.
This place will be in my pregame for next summers Cardinal trips.

Never been there but have driven past that awning several times. I will try them. This was my first time to see the new Busch Stadium. Wow! The plaza in front sent chills down my spine and the field is like looking at an AZP on steroids and the Joe Buck statue was awesome. My wife actually asked who was Lou Brock ....ahhhhh! I drew back from her like she just sprouted a second head. Had a "discussion" with a cub fan at a bar. Can't wait for '09.05-mafia
I went the first year it was built...its not 'old busch stadium' but hey...you've gotta move forward sometime right?

Apparently, the guys in charge came down to get a look at AZP while planning the new Busch Stadium...its exactly what you said...AZP on steroids... 03-wink

Lou Brock...man, what a player. I actually received an autographed Stan Musial jersey for Christmas this past year...most def. the best present I've EVER gotten.

sCrUBS fans...grr...there's plenty of em around...and the jokes just keep flowing lol... and isn't it funny how more of them popped up this year...quite amazing hahaha go back into hiding scrubs
Went to Caleco's this spring for the first time. It was very good.
