When will it end? It closed today around 8,500.
Wow! So scary.
General Motors is lowest its been since 1950.

I root for it to go to 5K. Hopefully then we can FINALLY do something other than pander to one f'n block of voters. FAIR TAX NOW!
I think the bottom is 7000.

When the Secretary of the Treasury talks of the US Government buying sizable interests in US Banks, you know its gone way past a "bailout" to solve it.

Gridlock continues policies from the previous administration and Congress. Bush policies (2000-20006) with a mix of Reaganomics is always a disaster. These policies are a continuation of the Bush Republican economic policies.

Gridlock
House - Democratic controlled
Senate - Split 50/50 (Lieberman jumping ship is enough evidence)
White House - Republican controlled

Today is Black Friday for GM - I'm calling for it to totally collapse by COB.

No worries. We'll bail them out with our Chinese money. Airlines are next.

Both parties are to blame....big time.
World markets are down...this is a negative feedback loop.

The DOW is set to have a worse day today. Unbelievable.

On paper maybe. It's getting to be about the time to buy, buy, buy.

The markets hate uncertainty. The election provides uncertainty. Even if there is a slight rise after the election...My guess is it's a "bear trap". I'm holding off until Jan.

Ding ding ding.

There will be a sucker's rally after the election no matter who wins. Then at some point during their term the bottom will really fall out.
Apparently, I'm the only one who doesn't have money sitting around waiting to be invested. It doesn't matter what the market does, I'm in no position to buy.

Same here...I'm in it for the long haul. The market has created more wealth than any other investment. Having discipline and applying the dollar cost averaging principle has been successful for me. I have no reason to believe that will suddenly change. I've had big paper losses several times and still have had long term steady gains.

Timing the market is like going to Vegas. You better have money you can afford to lose.

But buy with what? "Disposable" income in my household was near extinction 18 months ago when I saw my last salary increase.
