Includes a graduate from UAT, UAH, and UAB. However, there is some thought that the Senate might decide to put in their own selection instead of the UAB grad.

Is this old news, or am I just the only one that finds this interesting?
It comes as no surprise to me that with a grad from each university (UA, UAB and UAH) among the three considered for the vacancies, the one coming into question/opposition is the UAB graduate.
Who cares if this Smith person's dad was a teammate of "Bear" Bryant? That doesn't mean you automatically go on the Board.
I would like to see a UAB grad from Bham in there. Also, a UAB grad that supports UAB athletics, not just academics.
Somebody post a bio on the UAB grad from Mobile who is being considered for the BOT??? Ive never heard of her, but of course, I live up here in Bham. Does she ever come to any alumni functions?? etc etc etc??
from what sarabelle told me about her, she's technically a uab grad, but transferred here from uat after 3 years. it was probably to be w/ her husband who went to med school at uab. so, she probably has no loyalty to uab since she just finished her degree here. sarabelle knows more than i do about it.
Anything is better than Reily Bokin Smith. Hes Lobbying the Leg. to substitute him for the UAB grad.

AMEN! We need some one that will represent our interests. There are a lot of UAB grads who favor UAT over us.
I dont want a 'Token' UAB grad- someone who is technically connected to UAB but in reality has no loyalty to UAB. This woman from Mobile sounds just like such a person,,, possible UAB grad but other than that,, UAT.
Id almost rather have someone who was neutral than someone who we think is going to be in our corner, but really isnt.
We need die-hard UAB grads that NEVER had any ties or loyalty to UAT....like ME!!

I think that you need to place a UAB grad who lives in Mexico on the BOT... think of the recruiting I could do for soccer :)
