There are 5 teams in the RPI top 50 that have 0, again ZERO, wins against top 50 RPI teams:

Southern Illinois
Miami (OH)
Holy Cross
Nevada
UAB

That my friend is the definition of pretender, not contenter.....and that is my ONLY concern when it comes selection time.....especially with those teams being listed in order of their current RPI.
Well hopefully that will change with games against DePaul and Cincy left (both Top 50)... we should at least be able to beat DePaul at home.
Maybe we should add those teams to our schedule in '05-'06.
Let's say we beat Depaul....

today they are RPI #42.... the road loss to UAB wont hurt them too much, but consider this....they have likely home loses to Cincy and Louisville on the schedule remaining, and those two together almost count as 3 losses.

If the above happens, it's likely that DePaul would no longer be top 50.
How many Top 50 wins did we have last year on selection sunday?

You have the right idea...but there's a better way to go about it.

I'm working now on this year's addition of a RPI scheduling cheat for UAB... There are plenty of teams that ususally have 60%+ winning percentages that are much easier to defeat than the above mentioned teams.

Remember, for the RPI, it's most important to get the win....secondly to have the teams you play win....then the Tier 3 criteria is actually quite minor (on a per team basis).

Well....top of my head I remember Charlotte X2, Cincy X1, and Richmond X1...

That makes 4.
