Or should Pitt beat at least Navy and be on a 5 game winning streak first. I mean why rank Pitt with the chance of Pitt being UPSET and Pitt losing the spot anyways. Personally I would like to see Pitt ranked to have 2 teams ranked. It'll help the Big East look better at the present time. But the only good rankings are at the end of the season.
Highly doubtful Pitt will be ranked in the new polls tomorrow--It is VERY hard to go from not even getting any votes to being ranked. That is just too many teams to leapfrog. UNC and Notre "Lame" may jump in, especially if the Rainbow Warriors can hold on and shock ranked Fresno State. That would make 3 "lower than 20" ranked teams to lose and open up spots (Oregon and UConn plus Fresno).
25th would be a fair ranking. 04-cheers
Pitt beat the #10 team in the nation, though, so voters might look at that and give them credit that generally doesn't go to teams not receiving votes. At least that is what I hope happens.
True, USF will probally drop to 15th to 20th range.
I think Pitt will be #23 in both polls.
Im guessing USF drops to 21 (the media will completely turn on the big east after what has happened this year) and pitt will end up somewhere in the 26-29 range... i think theyll be just short of the ranking that they deserve
Pitt will
ND will not break in
UNC will

Most coaches hate ND and the media isn't convinced
Notre "Lame," is that the best anyone here comes up with?
Well if you lok at AP polls
#22 Fresno, #23 Oregon and #24 UConn lost al three will drop off.
Wisconsin #18 lost their second so they should also drop off.
USF will drop to #18-#20
the only question is dooes Auburn drops off after their loss? I think theyll keep them at #24 or #25
So well see FOUR new teams in top 25

Maryland that was #26 got destroyed by a bad team
Michigan ST that was #27 won vs Iowa
Kentucky at #28 played tough but lost
Ball State #29 won and is undefeated
Northwestern #30 did not play
Tulsa #31 won and is undefeated
TCU, Illinois,NC, FSU all won.
So Ill say the FOUR that get in this week are:
Michigan State, Ball State, NC and Pitt
Pitt certainly deserves to be in, with Cincy, WVU, and UConn (in no particular order) around the 30-35 range outside looking in.
Pitt should be in the Big 10

(oh, and yes, they should be ranked)
Pitt will never be in the Big Tin as long as Joe Paterno lives...
Pitt should and will be ranked
Can't beleive that was even brought up 03-banghead

Big 10 already has the Pittsburgh market so what does it gain by adding Pitt other than giving PSU a rivalry game that they don't want. Doesn't make sense to me.

ya, its a thought I had when I was watching the Pitt-Iowa game a couple weeks ago

Besides Notre Dame, Pitt has the most in common with the Big 10 IMO...more so than Syracuse, Rutgers, or Mizzou

ya they don't really add anything except a warm body and a friend for Penn St.

Just my 2 cents
Trust me. Pitt and Penn State will never be friends...
