4.)Pittsburgh
5.)Louisville
6.)West Virginia
7.)Rutgers
8.)Syracuse (Yes Syracuse has a win and Rutgers doesn't, but Syracuse still struggled to beat a winless Division I-AA team).
At this point I would really put Syracuse above Rutgers. RUtgers has done asbolutely nothing to show we are better. Blown out in two games, and a team that duke put 41 points on just beat us.

Tier 1:
- USF
- UConn
- UC (possible homer pick, but our lone loss was at Okla and the new guy Pike looks sharp. These three teams have few question marks and tons of potential)

Tier 2:
- WVU
- UofL
- Pitt (not necessarily in order, all three have shown signs but haven't quite put it all together yet)

Tier 3:
- Rutgers
- Syracuse
1) USF/UConn (Tie)
3) UC
4) Pitt/UL (tie)
6) WVU
7) Rutgers
8) Cuse

The idiocy goes beyond even that. He starts a thread entitled "rank the BE", but he includes Memphis and Umass and UCF and Temple . 01-wingedeagle

When did they join the BE?
Everyone better watch out, Pike is the real deal and Cincy is rolling. I'd say right now it's a two horse race between USF and Cincy, WVU can make a push in conference but they are really in a hole right now. Everyone will bag on me saying that UConn is also legit but they have no passing game. Do you really think Brown will be able to run against Cincy and USF? I don't...they're going to get exposed against Ville this week.
1. USF: Living very dangerously, but still appears to be the team to beat.
2. Louisville: The offense is looking very good, I feel they are really starting to gel.
3. UConn: Undefeated, but needs a better passing game.
4. Cincinnati: The offense seems promising with the new QB, but I'm not quite sold on them yet.
5. Pittsburgh: I'm still wondering if Bowling Green was a fluke or not.
6. West Virginia: I said it earlier: this team finds ways to lose. Not making a bowl is a real possibility. Marshall is a must win.
7. Syracuse: Robinson can't be gone soon enough.
8. Rutgers: Schiano is about to lose this team. The Teel incident is not a good sign.

Bowl Games (assuming Notre Dame takes the Gator):
Orange: USF vs. Clemson
Meinke: Louisville vs. UNC
Papajohns.com: Pittsburgh vs. Vanderbilt
International: UConn vs. Buffalo
St. Pete: Cincinnati vs. UCF

How can you not be sold on Cincinnati, we came off a Top 20 season last year and are 2-1 this year! But you're sold on Louisville and Pitt!?

1st time I've ranked the teams this year. I reserve the right to move UConn lower, as I've seen all of their games thus far and I have yet to walk away impressed with them. Of course, with how bad the rest of the conference is I may have them ranked correctly.

I'm sorry that the pathetic state of you team has jaded your views. Your sorry excuse for a football team barely beat an abismal 1AA team today. How'd that make you feel? Imagine if you played a middle of the pack 1AA team or a good one, like say, UMass. You would most likely have been on the other end of the scoreboard as today. But, I understand your defensiveness. It's hard when all you have to cheer for is for your coach to be fired. Were you one of the fans in the stands with a paper bag on their head?

4. UConn

6. WVU

Are we sure they are DI football teams?
7. Rutgers
8. Syracuse

I'm not going to penalize UC for losing a road game to Oklahoma... USF has done the most this year of any Big East team, but in the end I like UC against USF. I do not think the Bulls are coming to the Nip and winning. UC's biggest questions was at the QB position... I feel really good about that spot now, i really liked what i saw from Pike (even if it was against Miami). The defense has been a little soft against short passing, and the defensive line has not gotten the consistent pressure yet... but I think this defense is still going to end up being a huge strength for the cats once the conference begins.

I was impressed with Louisville this week... I think they may be turning the corner and playing to their talent level. Uconn continues to just win, but I think they are too one dimensional to win the conference. I have no confidence in Pitt to be anything other than mediocre and a possible spoiler. WVU is the enormous wild card. I have them at 6, because based on performances thus far that is where i think they should be. That being said... they are too talented and have too much on offense for me to write them off in the least. WVU scares the hell out of me and they get the Bearcats and Bulls at home. If they put it together they are still the most talented team in the Big East and could easily be Big East champs.

I don't get what happened to Rutgers.

Syracuse is bad

I thought you might be able to separate the BEast teams, which are numbered 1-8 from the others, which are in italics to separate them further. The others are simply a barometer to talk about teams that are bantered about on this board quite often. It's not my fault that your team sucks out loud. If you take that paper bag off your head, you might get some fresh air, and then you'd understand what I was doing and how horrendous your team is.
Well kids Rutgers is back to normal this year that's all I can tell you. Time to think about going after Skip Holtz at ECU since Greg has clearly gone as far as he can at Rutgers.
1. USF... bad week this week but will be fine.
2. UC..... Pike showed me alot but is he indeed the real deal. we'll find out soon.
3. UConn... Sure they are undefeated, but how good is this team. Not sold on them just yet.
4. Pitt.... Big win this week, but Wanny is the coach and is too conserative with a lead this will cause the Panthers to lose some games down the road.
5. UL..... Great victory this week can they get on a winning streak and move up the rankings we'll find out this week.
6. WVU.... Until they beat a Bowl Subdivision game they will be ranked lower than maybe they should.
7. RU..... Loses to a Navy squad that historically the past few years been good but not as good as those teams should've beaten that team.
8. Syracuse... Do I need to explain?

This is what I have as well. As far as UConn, Donald Brown will be slowed down a couple of times this year, and when that happens, Lorenzen does not have the ability to make up for it. 1 TD (to a fullback) to 6 INT would not give me a warm fuzzy if I was a UConn fan.
