Seriously, how are these two conferences going to produce a BCS bid? What the hell happens when the ACC doesn't even have a top 25 team to send to their bid?

The cream of the crop of the Big Least is getting destroyed by ECU. They're a good team, but the best team from a BCS conference shouldn't be getting destroyed by them. Central Florida might beat USF too, UC got shelled by Oklahoma. Syracuse lost to Akron, who probably won't compete in their division. Wake nearly lost to Ole Miss.

Maybe this year we'll have some good evidence against the BCS setup. If there are multiple non-BCS schools who end up highly ranked, and only one of them gets a BCS bid while the ACC and Big East get to send garbage teams to fill their spots there will be some controversy...
These two conferences are dead in football.

I can say with some certainty that the MAC is now at the same or on a slightly higher level than them.
I would take BYU, Utah, Fresno State and TCU over the Big East and ACC conference champs
If the basis for having the Big East and ACC in the BCS no longer competitive and just markets then how can you justify leaving the MWC out of the BCS?

I wonder what the BCS' excuse is if BYU beats UCLA, just after UCLA beat Tennessee.
Realistically there could be AT LEAST two top ten non-BCS schools at the end of the year. If only one of them goes while the ACC and BE send garbage teams for their spots, that would be a travesty...

As of right now there are three ranked non-BCS schools with ECU on the way for sure. By the end of the year that number could be even higher as the MAC will probably have at least one team ranked at some point.

Yep. I'll even admit that.

UConn may be the best team in the Big East, and as Temple saw today, we have no QB and inexperienced WR's.

I saw where you beat Syracuse today. Did Arthur have a big game? He made our corner Tyvon Branch (now on the Raiders) looik silly last year.

If that crap does happen let's hope the outrage will place pressure on the system for reforms.

There should be no such thing as autobids. If your conference champ is in the top 12 it should go to a BCS game end-of-story.

FYI, Akron was picked last in the MAC East this year.

Arthur graduated after last year. The big game was had by our QB, who has miraculously transformed from the worst in the MAC to an extremely good passer. We had nearly 500 yards of offense.
I wouldn't call that a miracle, I'd call that Syracuse...
BE may be 6-10 as a conference after tonight's games...Thank god they get to play each other, then they can at least play .500 football as a conference. LMAO...

Jacquemain? Wow, that's good for you guys. What happened to Jackson?

He saw the writing on the wall and transferred to EKU. The guy was a human fumbling machine. Every time, without fail, he would fumble the ball at a crucial point in the game. He lost us at least three games that way.
Looking over the scores across the country and it's going to be interesting to see the Sagarin ratings in a couple weeks. We all know about the BE, Maryland is currently getting destroyed by a middle of the pack Sun Belt squad. There should definitely be some non-BCS conferences ranked above some BCS teams...

You won't see that happen until the ratings become unbiased after about the 4th week. As of right now, the ratings have pre-season ranks built in to them which makes them worthless as an objective measure. Once those pre-season ratings are removed and everything is calculated straight up, you'll see lots of things move, mostly in our favor.
Well the best thing that can happen is to have multiple non-BCS schools deserving of BCS bids and having the ACC and Big Least sending garbage teams. That should be a catalyst for some sort of change.

ECU looks to have a pretty clear path, and either BYU/Utah will be up there as well. They look to be the only ones who could do it, since they already have an advantage in the polls to allow them to finish in the top-10.
Tough year for Big East and ACC indeed. Big East teams are formed CUSA and D-AA teams. They aren't much far ahead of the MAC. MAC is up this year as they are competing with BCS teams from several conferences. MAC has more BCS wins than the Big East.
