Well, If he received a pass last season and we are judging him on this season on, then shouldn't he be allowed to complete more than one game to judge him? It is conceivable that ASLUT will win C-USA and be in the BCS. (Personally I think they have a couple losses coming). Some even projected them in the Orange Bowl. If we are judging him on this season, let's see if the team does improve and correct some of it's very correctable mistakes. FAU is a winnable game, let's see how the team responds.

I think the question is "are you just here to spout"?

You take this season-by-season. We were not supposed to beat Tulsa. We're not supposed to beat FAU (though I am strangely optimistic). UTK... If we lose to Alabama State then we can talk about the hot seat. If we win that handily we can wait for the rest of the year and gauge improvement. 4 wins and I will not grumble. 3 and I won't bring up the hot seat.

AB, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I don't think FAU is a winnable game. FAU doesn't bring a name recognition fear like teams with similar talent but a more recognizable program.

But that is just me. UAB needs to shore up the defense or FAU will be able to do the same thing Tulsa did.

There usually isn't a honeymoon in an arranged marriage. You just grow to either love each other over the years, or you just tolerate each other and the faults, but do nothing about it.

I have no doubt that he knows a lot about coaching, but until he starts winning I will remain cynical.

FAU is very winnable but UAB has to correct it's mistakes or the result will be similar. I honestly don't think the talent at FAU compares to Tulsa. It's good but not near as good. Tulsa was a winnable game but UAB had to play pretty much mistake free. Three turnovers, one TD called back and numerous missed tackles let a close game get away. I will bet you lunch that if UAB does not turn the ball over we beat FAU. (Assuming we learn to tackle). hey, we need to do lunch any way so how about Full Moon?

BTW... if the mods/admins want to ban me, that is fine. They run the place, and make the rules. Posting here is a privilege, not a right.

I won't take it personally, and I'll still be a huge Blazer fan, whether or not I post here.

I am looking forward to cheering my rear end off at the next home game at LF....

I'm not going to bet because that would mean cheering against UAB. But I'm always up for lunch anyway.

I think you guys are sleeping on FAU but we'll see. Add to that UAB is not a good road team and chances are slim for UAB to go there and win this game. They will once again be put in a position of having to play a perfect game in order to have a chance to win.

And if you are familiar with UAB situation then how do you expect him to win with 69 scholarship players when everyone else has 85? He also have to do it when limited facilities and a fanbase that is decreasing by the year.

Exactly. I could argue he gets a pass this year as well. Next year he will finally be playing with a full quiver.

Can we get all-access on a big screen for the FAU game?

Well, maybe not a pass but let's see some improvement. I saw some in the loss. Maybe ASLUT is pretty damn good. Maybe I underestimated the amount of talent they have. Defensively they lacking but they are pretty young on that side of the ball.

On a side note, the O-line is much better and will only get better as the season goes along.
Tackling can be corrected.
Turnovers can be corrected.
receivers show promise.
running game is better.
Special teams could use improvement. They may help us win a game or two befvore the season is over.
Penalties are WAY down.

I hope the initial comment was a joke. Next year should be the year people begin making conclusive opinions of CNC.
