I like the determination on Demario's face - and the cheering by Ronnell on the bench.

Great Pic
I also like how WIDE OPEN Demario was for that shot!

GO BLAZERS!
Some of the DePaul and Louisville fans were whining that a charging foul should have been called on Donell when he drove to the lane before kicking it out to Demario.

That makes us even for that bogus charging foul they called on Lewis earlier.
The in-studio commentating idiot on ESPN2 said the same thing after the "bonus coverage" of the last two minutes.

That's ridiculous.

If he had not already passed the ball, it should have been called.

But, it didn't affect the play - and the officials did not decide the outcome of the game.
They can call that whether he was passing the ball or not. I think the guys feet were still moving anyway, though.

But you remember Doug Gottlieb from his Ok St. days dont you? Played against auburn the year they were a number 1 seed (99 i think). Good player.

What brought him over to Ok st? Stealing credit cards while at Notre Dame.

I would have been charging if Greer had been set, his left foot was still in the air, and Seals wasn't hammering him from the side.

MadBlazer, my point was in a tie game, with less than 10 seconds, if he doesn't have the ball, it shouldn't be called.

I believe the old adage that officials shouldn't decide the game. The commentators doing the game said the same thing.

Had Donnell kept the ball, it should have been called no matter what.

He didn't have the ball, it didn't affect the play, and it was a tie game with less than 10 seconds left. Officials don't make that call with those circumstances.
I agree completely. I thought you were saying he had to have the ball.

Either way i really just wanted to say something about gottlieb since he was just so sure that that was the worst call in the history of basketball.
Why is it that most former players make terrible commentators?

Jason Williams is absolutely AWFUL.

Well, in his defense he was/is new to this job.
It wouldn't kill him to do a little STUDYING and RESEARCH.

When he says stupid things like, "No one had ever heard of UAB before the Kentucky game last year," that's just plain ignorance.
True dat. I was talking more about his game analysis than his knowledge but your right. It would behoove him to look up info on the team he is covering to prevent having to be given the information by a fan.
Hahaha.....Williams having information handed to him by a fan! Crazy talk, nobody would ever do th.....oh. Right.
I'm very happy for Demario that he was the one to hit the shot. There have been several times this season where the ball was in his hands late in the game and he didn't come through (despite putting us in the position to win). The Louisville and Charlotte games come to mind when he had the ball late and had his shot blocked by Fransico Garcia and then turned the ball over in consecutive possessions against Charlotte.

Again, I'm very happy to see him hit that shot. He was due.
You're right, STLouis. He hit two big shots (both threes) in the last 90 seconds or so.

Maybe he's getting hot at the right time.
