Earlier this week, Joe Avento, who ACTUALLY COVERS ETSU, wrote Summers-Taylor Stadium was completed.
But not according to Kelly Hodge-

This is the second time this major gaffe has been printed in the Press. I still can't figure out how a writer could look at the place, not see the lights or the scoreboard, and then print it is finished, but I digress.
A guess is that the ETSU flacks are lying to the reporters. They are casually saying "this is completed" and the Barbers and the Aventos don't know any better (which is pretty hard NOT to know any better. You literally have to turn the other way to NOT see the stadium isn't complete).
Hodge does.
And Mullins does stand up to why this stadium is now TWO YEARS behind schedule, but the fact is it is just another flashing red light saying "I AM AN INCOMPETENT."
He might as well be a member of the North Korean government explaining why the Ryugyong Hotel still isn't finished.
The stadium, even with American With Disabilities Acts, with building contractor woes, with everything else, simply should not take two years to build under ANY circumstances except, well, they couldn't raise the money to build it and nobody REALLY wants it.
