Is this one of those cities that has a high altitude and thin air. That could be a big factor in the style we play.
2,800ft
However... LSU is used to more humid air than us even, so... I think in a running match, we'd outlast them anyway.
It's also going to be a factor if our players decide to cook macaroni and cheese. I think it takes an extra 10 minutes with altitudes that high.

Let's hope Coach Anderson has them prepared.

I'm guessing that will only affect Lewis.

Is 2800 ft going to affect anything? I doubt it. I live at 7300 feet... it did take me a little while to adjust, but not much...
I remeber when we went to Denver and everyone told me that the altitude would bother me playing a trumpet. I blew that theory off until I got up there. There is absolutely NO oxygen in that town. I don't think that 2,800ft is going to be that big a deal to either team.

But did you run 94 ft. windsprints for 40 minutes? I think it may be a factor if they don't have time to adjust and create more red blood cells.

If the game were played in Puebla (7300 ft), I would be the first to say that it will make a difference. 2800? I don't know... I do not run up and down the coart, but I do run and it will affect you at 7300 ft... It would be interesting to know if 2800 would make that much of a difference though.
We need to get our team there ASAP...and do workouts/practices in a high school gym if need be.

I agree. I'm not sure how high up Birmingham is so I have nothing really to compare to, just pure speculation. I have noticed a difference if I go up to the mountains in Tennessee but I'm not in the best of shape at this point. Either way, LSU is below sea level so if it affects us it should hit them even harder.
I think B'ham is at an altitude of about 900 ft

Ever been to Lake Titicaca in Peru? 03-lol
No Sax, and the basketball team isn't playing in Peru, so let's try to stay on subject, OK.
nt
USA Today noted today that UAB goes 10 deep while LSU ususally uses only 7 players. This could be a huge factor in Boise.
i do think that we do have the adv.
why? as a CUSA member we play a lot of games in diff. areas of the country where as LSU isn't . Hopefully that helps!
