See why no one can stand this program or its weak little fanbase and soon to be little mini-stadium?? They are 9 months removed from going 1-11--2 missed FGs in OT from being 0-12--and just completely had their a@@ handed to them at home by an FCS school, yet they scoff at NIU like you are dog food!

This is not unique to Minnesota, every team NIU plays says this exact thing.
But not every team you play is not coached by Bozo the Clown and was 1-11 last year.
nothing would please me more than if gopher football was overlooking niu like this a**clown..
Congratulations, Northern Illinois fans--you have just been introduced to the infamous PantherHawk, regarded on sports boards across the Midwest as the most outrageous poster in America. An Iowan, PH is embued with pathological hatred of Minnesota and makes it his obsessive mission to go onto the forums of Gopher opponents (those he can get on to; he'd been banned from every board in Minnesota and most in the Big Ten) and spew lies and venom in an attempt to whip opposing fans into a frenzy of hatred. It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

I would respectfully disagree. On any given Saturday, just about anything can happen. I guess it doesn't matter if we fans are taking NIU too lightly, but from what I've read, I don't think Brewster or the team are. Our Gophers will need to bring their "A Game" to all 12 contests.
Last year I was sure we could beat the likes of Miami and FAU. This year, I'm a bit more cautious in my optimism. Please don't take that as negative, because I bleed Maroon & Gold and am confident that this ship will be righted. I'm just not positive on when the return to glory will begin - I am hopeful that it is in 12 days!

PantherHawk is a lurker who sometimes claims to be an Iowa fan, a Minnesota fan, whatever he needs to be to stir the pot. If he's a Huskies fan, he's been one for maybe 25 minutes.
Minnesota fans, and more importantly, Minnesota football players and coaches know they are in for a battle with NIU. Good luck to both teams. Let's hope for no injuries and spirited play.

yep, for the most part im sure there are gopher haters just like there are huskie haters. we dont really put a lot of stock into the rants, but just want to have a spirited meaningful discussion about the matchup. neither of these squads were anything special last year, but just because its big ten on the road, and we havent beaten a big ten team since reagan was in office, i would give the edge to the gophers. i just hope its a good game.
i am actually curious as to all of the hatred that pantherhawk has.. where did it come from?
