I expect the MAC to have one of its best opening weeks ever.
The MAC should be 6-0 after the Thursday and Friday games. The Saturday games will have 6 games on a road/nuetral field which will be harder, but other than Akron playing at a ranked Wisconsin program the MAC has a chance to win those other games. Nebraska and Pittsburgh are not top 25 programs anymore and haven't been for a few years. Boston College, Wyoming and Minnesota are mediocre at best and its not out of reach for a MAC victory in those games. Toledo plays the bye in week 1 and a heavy favorite to go unbeaten in week 1. MAC could put up 8 wins in week 1 which would be a great start to the non-conference slate.
