I know we are celebrating this season, but I can't help but look ahead to next season. We have a ton of experience coming back and that kid that is taking the year off because of transfer rules (sorry, can't remember his name), and not to mention some good recruits coming in. I think we will be the team to beat in the NCUSA. I know we don't want to be considered a mid major, but look at the other teams around us. Other than Memphis, who else is there? Maybe UAB will become the Gonzaga of the East!

UTEP made the tourney this year...with the same seed as us
Houston is RAPIDLY improving
Wen Mukubu is the guy you are talking about
If Memphis can get back on track, it'll be tough. NCUSA will be better than people say, but we have a LOT of potential next year... more than I thought we had this year even if you ask me.

With three NCUSA teams getting in, that should help the pre-season chatter in the Fall.
Memphis will be talented and hungry after this year's debacle. Houston is on the way up. I don't know that much about UTEP but they made the tourney. Eustacy has some decent recruits headed to USM. I think its going to be pretty competitive.

We should be pretty damned good too. I really like where we are and the kids we have coming back. Going to be fun to see how it falls together.
I love how Memphis thinks that they are going to run over everyone next year.
Preseason picks will have

1. Memphis (they have Carney and Washington back as well as an impressive recruiting class coming in. Only one will probably skip out to go pro.)
2. UAB (seven seniors) It will be experience vs. superstars in UAB vs. Memphis
3. UTEP
4. Houston
5. Tulsa
6. Southern Miss
7. Central Florida
8. Tulane
9. Rice
10. East Carolina
11. Marshall
12. SMU
