$10,000 in damage to new construction. Akron is quickly assuming the role of Marshall as scumbags of the league.
Linky?

Any proof that it was done by Akron students/fans?

EDIT

Found a link: Kent State stadium vandalized

Hope they find, arrest, prosecute & punish those responsible.
Don't make assumptions so quickly. The morons tho did that didn't even know how to spell "AK-Rowdies". The vandals painted "Kent Sucks", when most Akron fans would have painted "Kent State Sucks, or even "KSUcks". There's just something that seems off about the whole thing.

This looks like it was designed to inspire some Kent fans to go out and attempt to vandalize Akron's new stadium, and no Akron fan would want that. Feel free to use it as an excuse to deface the Rubber Bowl, though.

Anyways, the next time you show up just accusing people of things, it's best to have a source to back yourself up with, like the story in the Record-Courier.
Yeah Akron students are known for their correct spelling. Accussing people? No different than you saying KSU people did it to inspire a payback. If I was Laing Kennedy I'd sent the bill to Akron.

They can't afford it; they still have to come up with 3 mil for some ghetto property they tried to bully their way into.

And now its even made it to the MAC blog at phillyBurbs.com:

If anyone decides to retaliate and vandalize Akron's new stadium we'll be able to watch it live on the web cams.

Wow. Do you even believe that? That's some of the weakest rationalization I may have ever seen.
If that's what they wanted, they could have skipped the KSU part and gone right to Akron. Duh.
Man up. You've got some scumbag Rowdies in the crew. Deal with it.

Sure thing kid, you put the small 'a' in Akron and 'u' before it but the vandals put the - in the wrong spot so it must have been an imposter.
Laing made an important point to remember. No one knows WHO vandalized at this point. Sure, the vandals incriminated Hilltop High; but who would take the word of a crook?

The only humorous point at this time is the debate over whether some morons, fueled by alcohol, weed or both, operating in a hurry in the dark, worried about whether AK Rowdies had a hyphen or could refer to Kent State properly. That, folks, is funny.

You can just hear the Rowdies' defense now: "Your Honor, we always refer to them as CAN'T...."

We just have to wait and see what the police investigation shows. Hate to think what a bored KSU Police department and an overzealous Portage County prosecutor’s office will do with this.
Remember, whoever did this was dumb enough to do it in the middle of that crazy lightning storm that night.
What does a lightning storm have to do with the ignorant destruction of property???

Couldn't you just buy another Dix Stadium for $10,000?
I know that when we do track down that wagon wheel trophy, there won't be a MAC basketball championship anywhere around it..

They were outside in the middle of a lightning storm... not much around the stadium either...
It doesn't matter where they're from, it was the wrong thing to do.

For all we know, it could be some high school kid trying to make a name for himself. Until a person associated with the school is caught in connection with the crime, I'm not blaming the AK-Rowdies or the rest of their fans.
If someone vadalizes a stadium and no one goes .... did it really happen???

I will apologize in advance ...thanks
