This has never happened before with any ranking.
The Big 12 and The SEC hace 8 each.
Surprisingly, the acc also has 7 in their top 50.

That is good positive publicity. I think we can live up to it. Hopefully by the end of the season we can be even better.
I think UCONN is rated waaaaaaaaaaaaay too low....they are at the very minimum Top 30.
I'll believe it when I see, it, #1. Nothing against UConn, I just have a feeling they will disappoint this year.

I hope they "disappoint" when we make our visit to the Rent......

seriously....not saying they will win 9 games and a share of the BE title again but I think they are a top 30 team. They are solid, have a good ground attack and play smart. Some might call it boring.....

At any rate, as a UC fan the game at the Rent scares me because many UCONN fans have circled this date and want to finally beat us....

You mean when everyone picked UCONN to finished 7th in the league last year including many here? RU ahead of UCONN in any poll is a joke. We throttled Pitt last year and I expect UCONN to beat them again this year at the Rent. Yes, most UCONN fans have circled that Cincy game on the calender. I am glad they picked UCONN last. Its cool since it will give our players more incentive to win.
Who picked UCONN last? Rivals picked them 50th and 7th in the BE. I think that is a testament to how good they expect the conference to be overall.

I just think that UCONN won't be quite as good this year. I certainly don't expect them to be bad, or lose to Syracuse, etc.
I think UConn is the only BE FB school that has more bulletin board fodder than UC 03-lmfao

Let's pin this thread for the season and compare notes at end of the year.

Let's see, RU lost 3 OLs and Ray Rice, but somehow they have improved more than UCONN where UCONN returned literally the whole offense?

Pitt has done squat and all suddenly they are the next savior in the league? One game against WVU does not equal BCS representative. I have little faith in Wanny as a game day coach. Yes I expect UCONN to beat the snot out of Pitt when they visit the Rent this year.

I think people put way too much weight on those Rivals recruiting stars. This article pretty much summarizes the ranking: http://connecticut.scout.com/2/773526.html
Maybe, SFHusky, I do know that Pitt played very well against UC as well... maybe they are starting to turn the corner?

I'm not happy about UC being behind Rutgers either, but apparently there is a lot of faith in Teel this year (no idea why).

It should be a fun season, hopefully the conference doesn't beat up on one another too much.

Because he has his top 3 receivers back.
I love when fans run their mouth about their team in ultimate support. It makes football great and this board more enjoyable to read. I can't wait to see SF Husky choke on his words as the season progresses. UConn will be exposed this year for the MANY breaks they benefited by last year. Sorry Husky nation, prepare to descend to the bottom of the BEast, just above Cuse of course. Good luck this season out of conference, that is where they majority of your wins will come from.

Ha, I love it.

As a Bearcat fan, I cannot wait to play UCONN.

As long as UCONN is ahead of UL, I am cool :) BTW, it is pretty funny to see you run your mouth day in and day out too while I am just defending UCONN for the most part. In fact, I am merely pointing out the ignorance of few posters here about UCONN. Personally, I am expecting UCONN to win 8 games this year with a 4-3 conference record.

That's exactly what I see. UConn hasn't shown it's a Top 25 team, but we're definitely better than 50. Not sure why Pitt and UL are ahead of us, but we have the opportunity to prove them wrong.

Why is Rutgers ahead of Cincy?
Until I see 7 in the top 25, or all 8 in the top 50, I consider this irrelevant data... 07-coffee3

You honestly believe the Big East should have 7 schools in the Top 25?
Not yet. But data like this is all subjective. The top 50 changes when somebody else does it. Who cares? It's all opinion.

Please explain to everyone why anything that has to do with Uconn somehow the Uconn followers have to tie it to Rutgers? Talk about having an inferiority complex.03-banghead

I think everyone realize Uconn caught lighting in a bottle last year and now way in h*ll will they sneak up on anyone in the BE.

Nope. Nor should the SEC or Big Ten 03-nerner
