Over on the Scout Board, UCMarketing claims the bookstores will only be carrying the most basic option of the jerseys. Which, if they resemble the ones that were sold spring quarter..look like garbage.

As far as what quality they are going to be, I couldn't tell you. But I have asked repeatedly at Dubois and they said they should be in sometime in August. Adidas shipped a bunch of them a few months ago but they used the wrong colors, the red was more of a maroon and they all had to be shipped back.
I definitely wish they would offer some of the better quality jerseys, I would be willing to pay more for it and I may not even purchase one if it is like a T-Shirt with the jersey printed on it.
The quality of the actual team equipment looks to be fine, but I am extremely inimpressed with any of the gear that is being sold in the bookstores. The Nike and especially Jordan apparel was in a totally different league as far as quality.

The online store on gobearcats.com told me the other day they are getting in red and black #85's and #21's anytime now.....click "shop" on UC's athletic webpage and that's where they will be. I've been checking every day and so far not up yet.

My understanding is the one on sale during spring game were the practice jersey's. The UC bookstore would have had the red one's in but they said the red jersey's came in the "wrong color of red" and Adidas is redoing them....

That's what was reported when the jersey's were for sale during the spring game......that's why they didn't look like the ones that were in the preview video.
but, as Tyman has said, the "nice" ones are due to arrive anyday now and I'll be ordering my black #21 (or 85....can't make up my mind. I LOVE Barnett but Mickens is an All Amercian)....ah decisions, decisions.

Last year I bought a UC jersey from Value City up here... although it isn't the official jersey, it is real nice. Made by champion, red with white letters and C-PAW... I've had quite a few people comment on it saying it was a sharp jersey. They were all out of them when I was there a week or two ago (uncle who is a big OSU fan was in town, so we stopped by since they typically have a large amount of OSU gear as well).
In Dayton Value City is the best place to get UC stuff, IMO.

sorry, but that's totally false. the jerseys at dubois were the absolute bottom of the barrel "quality grade" out of the 5 grades of jerseys adidas offers. 1st being the absolute on-field jersey, and 5th being the pieces of crap they tried selling.

It was just a joke. I know he meant he wanted a Mauk jersey. I do know that Battle will also (saying also because I am hoping for a positive result from the NCAA) be wearing #9 because his father posts at BCL and uses his son's number in his username.

It may be false but that's what the sideline reporter chick on the TV said during the Bearcat Bowl game......hence I said it was "reported" this way. Perhaps the lady didn't know what she was talking about but this was the explanation given.....
The email I received from both the UC bookstore and also the online shop at gobearcats.com said that the only two numbers they will have is 21 and 85.....so if you want a 95 or 16 hopefully some place like Value City will have it....
