I just have a few questions about the MAC.

First, what is the deal with Temple? Do they have a certain time frame in which they have to join all sports or they get kicked out?

Second, if Temple stays and the MAC has 13, who will you add to make an even number? WKU? MTSU? Army? Nobody?

Lastly, have any of you OU fans heard anything about a MU/OU basketball game this coming season?
We will add Marshall. Then, while giggling like school girls, through them out on their asses the very next day.03-nutkick

Seriously, it looks like Purdue is going to leave the Big 10 and most likely the MAC will offer them the #14 spot.

03-snooty Kidding aside, we are content with who we have.03-snooty
=>WKU is the most likely candidate. Temple may join for all sports. If Temple and WKU join the MAC, it would rival the MVC as the best midmajor basketball conference.
Temple being a mid major basketball program....03-puke

Can my beloved football team first03-hissyfit...

I've read today MU/OU for basketball is going to be a 4 game series starting in 2008.
From the MAC Report Online MAC football preview, Rick Chryst said the MAC isn't in active pursuit of a 14th member. Every year they get together to talk about the landscape with the MAC AD's.

They'll wait for an opportunity to arise. They are more concerned with trying to get the MAC back on track as its been down for a couple seasons in football and basketball.
The Ohio AD said a 6 game football series between MU/OU is going to begin in 2010 and if he could he would like to play for 60 years.
Ohio and Marshall should be playing in every sport forever. The cost for both schools is cheap. No hotels needed and just buses get the teams there to the game.

What our AD really sees is having all those rabid Marshall fans come to town and that will really help our bottom line.

Marshall will bring 5-7k to Peden every time.
Actually KC, we will probably bring more than that now. It may be the only away game many of our local and Great Lakes area fans can afford to go to now.

That would be one of the biggest downsides to CUSA. The fans take a real hit.
