baseball teams that made the "Super Regionals", how many come from states that have state lotteries? Since the NCAA allows those states to enhance the scholarship offerings of their state schools IN ADDITION TO THEIR REGULAR SCHOLARSHIPS, these schools can carry more scholarship players than can those states without these funds. Is this advantage showing up at the tournament level?
This advantage doesn't apply to FB or BB because the NCAA counts ALL scholarships against the team's national limits. It only comes into "play" with minor sports.
Well, lets see,, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Louisiana all have teams there. I dont recall the rest, but I think you can buy a lottery ticket in each of em.

I've heard this "advantage" is about to be corrected. Maybe as soon as next year. Someone may know the details but I heard this during one of the USM games at YMF this year.
Pretty sure North Carolina and California have lotteries too. So that covers 6 of the 8 teams playing....Stanford and Rice are private so I wouldn't guess they receive any of the lotto $. Interesting theory
